Career mode and and its effect on the CPU

Is it generally recognized that career mode is a CPU killer when flying complex aircraft? I don’t have the most powerful system, i7-13700kf, RTX-5070 ti, but as an example, the iniBuilds a320 neo V2, while very smooth to operate in free flight, creates a very noticable load on the CPU main thread in career mode with identical freeflight graphics settings. This is in 2D mode. Most flights end up in a stutter fest, especially at airports or when using an external view.

Try this: I have almost the same system too.

Go to your Nvidia settings and to this turn down recommended video settings one or two notches.

I always have jitters and stutters when more detail is displayed getting closer to the airport, until I did this. One notch is usually enough. It now it is easier on the system and doesn’t jitter.

And I am running two monitors.

I appreciate the response, but this wasn’t reallly what I was asking. This was the question…“Is it generally recognized that career mode is a CPU killer when flying complex aircraft?”

I find that the CPU does not work as hard as the GPU.

It’s only doing 5 to 20 % when the GPU is 40 or more.

If I crank up the graphics the CPU does not change.

I do not see any change when it comes to Career mode
