Career mode: Paint planes

Maybe I am blind and didnt find it but would be very nice if we could paint our planes in career mode. Also if we could adjust company text(and possibly have logo) on the planes.

I saw that there was a “repaint” option, which I thought will let me paint the plane, but it ended up just restoring the default white paint.

It’s weird because there was a livery editor in the Tech Alpha, but nothing in the release :frowning:

Seconded. This option should honestly be a mandatory one even if its basic “pick color 1, pick colour 2, write a name” stuff.

This is the Post i was looking for, its shocking that this doesnt exist in Career Mode. I guess we have to sport our Eurowhite for some time to come :frowning:

I think it just isnt implemented yet, because jorg even said in an pcgamer interview that we can even design our own logos.

We should be able to not only select liver and/or color schemes, but also have our company logo on the Tail / Select various logo presets and/or add our own.

So since i am a curious person and i am not sold on the current state of the Game i am peppering Support with Questions and Feedback.

This is what i have gotten considering repainting your own Aircraft in Career Mode.

My Question:

The Answer:

It really is a shame how much they apparently scrapped out of Career for this botched release…

Thank you for asking it to them. Yeah this really is sad to hear.
The good thing is that since Jorg mentioned it before is that they probably did work on it and had some sort of system in place. Idk if it wasnt working or what, but at least that still gives some hope that they might bring it on someday.

Repainting planes and uploading logos is a promised feature; I will hold them to it because I am sick of flying around in a bland white aircraft where my company name is barely visible.

Completely agree!

Also it would be good to have some hint in the list of airplanes, like the call sign or the current location. Currently there is no way to decide which plane is which when having more than one of the same type.

In career mode, if you look closely, you can see the name of your Airline in white in the most placeholder font imaginable on the side of your purchased Freelance aircraft.

Often the plane is also white so it makes it hard to see, but that’s about the extent of paint/livery “customization” i’ve seen in the full build. We can easily live without this feature as long as we can select our own liveries when purchasing aircraft, WHICH WE ALSO CANNOT DO.

I love the answer-- ‘yeah, it’s not possible- maybe one day we will allow it… maybe one day we wont’
can you possibly answer a question any more by not answering it… ‘maybe yes, maybe no… who knows…’
Why even bother responding…

Just one more example on how they really don’t give a ■■■■ about the people who buy their product.

I wonder how it happened that even beard addition got higher on the list of things the community wants in the game than any remotely usable paint tool for the career mode. One thing that defines a company are company colors. KLM is famous for its warm blue and white color scheme. And since the name of the company is already used on the side of the plane (as mentioned above), it looks like there have been ideas about modifying the outside of the plane has been actively in the works. You can even repaint the plane after wear and tear of the outside. This whole world is about custumisation and being unique nowadays and no sign of the dev team to complete this feature for the forseeable time?

You are an MVP out here! Thanks for asking because they were very vague on this feature. Hard pill to swallow, but there it is. My only hope/guess is they will give us the option to use custom liveries from the marketplace on career mode.

That would be nice indeed. I think they started the paint/livery mechanics, put in the repaint button, used the white paint as a base, gave your company name sticker a basic placing and font, but then the team/person working on the feature got called to work on another feature of the game and they never returned to it, and the game got shipped with the feature in this state.
