You certainly can’t on Xbox. Career should at least function natively. You shouldn’t need 3rd party fixes for PC-12 pressurization, broken ATC… and there absolutely should be a very basic livery editor. This game mode is a disgrace.

And even more basic than a basic livery editor would be the ability to choose from the already existing liveries, at least!

I’m kind of sick of flying around pink and yellow airplanes, no point to use the repaint feature at this point. Was really looking forward to some custom paint jobs for my different companies.

While there are still bugs in 2024, they are being fixed as quickly as possible. I find it a very good game even with some bugs at the moment. I find a few minor bugs now and then, but nothing to major. I no longer have myself or anyone else sitting with their head (or body) outside the plane anymore. If you find a bug, report it, and it will be fixed. The ATC is pretty bad, but it’s getting better. Vatsim is a good substitute for realism in ATC. I flew a Vatsim flight last night with friends, and even had a controller for takeoff. I made a mistake in Taxi to Hold Short without permission, he told me I should have asked permission first, but it was no big problem. These are real people that talk to you and make it very enjoyable. Extra planes, airports, scenery and other things can now be bought in the Marketplace. FS ACADEMY has some very good items, including a very comprehensive flying tutorial. As far as your peripherals, get what you feel like. I use a Boeing Throttle and Yoke by Thrustmaster as well as Thrustmaster pedals for rudder control. A Logitech X-56 HOTAS for helicopter flights as welll. But choose what you feel comfortable with.
The bit about liveries. There are more than 1 liveries on planes now. You can get even more free liveries from Flightsim.to as well as payware. scenery, new airports, as well as planes. A very good FREE plane is the Smaug, good for low and slow flights. I hope everyone has a good time, and if you find any type of bug in the game, mention it in the bug reporting thread instead of complaining about it. Some things, like painting seem to be low on the list of repairs, but it will eventually be fixed. In the meantime, join a group event, and talk to them in Discord. It’s fun and free. Microsoft also has a weekly event. Happy Flights!

Currently, my boeing seven thirty seven max eight, has livery from italy it will be great if we can customize our liveries or at least choose a real airliner, liveries and/or put our company name on them.
Especially since the aircraft are so very expensive.

Even though many issues remain, with SU3 the sim has finally reached a state it probably should have been at launch. The time has come to start focusing on wishlist items too, rather than only on bug fixing, since the list keeps getting longer and longer. (That said, I’d argue that the inability to change company liveries or tail numbers counts more as a bug than a wishlist item…)
Yeah, I don’t understand why we can’t choose our liveries in Career Mode. They added dozens of paint jobs to some airplanes like de Cessna 172 and 208, but we can’t use them lol

Still a mystery for me too, especialy when this is one of the most asked feature for career mode and more when we know it was available during alpha test of the game few month before launch !

I know you can do it, because I am using Aer Lingus 747 and Air Asia A321 currently in career mode beta, this is due to the liveries I purchased for these aircraft being on the aircraft for purchase in the career mode buy menu

It would be really nice if we could at least change the color and placement of the company name and maybe the logo on the tail. The color would be enough; I don’t want to fly in a white plane.
I no longer fly the longitude at all because of that very bad red livery Asobo slapped on it.
They need to give us more choices here, if the livery is stopping us from using the plane it’s a showstopper
Scratch one more up for Custom Liveries in career mode wish list. I really enjoyed creating my own custom liveries in MSFS20 and miss the option. It’s been made much more difficult to edit texture files in 24. I don’t think it could be too hard tom enable colour pallet and simple logo placement options. Most other vehicle games have the option (GTA, Gran Turismo etc). It would make career mode feel even more immersive.

Crazy, after all this time, we are still forced to use just one livery for our own aircraft.
What’s even the point of having your own company.

Yeah this needs to be addressed, what is even the point of having selectable liveries if you can only change them in free flight and not career mode?

I wonder what they were thinking implementing this career system, where you can get your own company and fleet and then forcing everyone to use the same single liveries for each and every aircraft, despite having multiple liveries already in the system and obviously getting a multitude of addon liveries in the future.

When you buy and aircraft in career mode there is a variant page, we should be able to choose liveries here. Hoping this is one of the first things added to career mode with heavy cert, it can’t be that time consuming to enable liveries because they are already there. Ive purchased liveries for the airbuses and the the first livery of that pack is already on the airbus to buy in career mode. I then disabled the livery pack in my library and the airbuses in career mode went back to airbus livery. So it’s there, they just need to enable it
Whilst I get that it would be good to use purchasable real world liveries for career company planes, I don’t name my companies after real world airlines. I still think it would make career mode more immersive to be able to create our own. A colour choice, logo selection (designer?) and company name placement would make perfect sense. C’mon MS, this can’t be too difficult to implement ??
