Career mode should pay based on Cargo carried / passengers carried etc..
Anyone, like myself who wants to fly cargo but doesn’t want to do 747 etc.. gets stuck at medium cargo in a 208 forever.
Any aircraft larger than this is not worth it. They cost more to buy and maintain and do not net any more money than the 208
I am now stuck on medium cargo in a 208 without any real reason to progress other than to unlock either aircraft I don’t want to fly (747).
IMO, missions should be generated that match the capabilities of the aircraft purchased.
If I purchase a King Air, missions that are longer (king air range) and have more cargo that can now fit in the king air should unlock.
If I fly the exact same mission in a king air vs a 208 if the range is appropriate for both, I should get a lot more money in the King Air because it can carry more cargo.
What is the point of listing how much lbs(weight) or passengers 4/6/7/8 etc.. the plane can handle if there are not any better missions to perform.
This doesn’t apply to all company types as firefighting in the air tractor can’t be any more or less per aircraft as there is only one unless you go to the next level… maybe there are more difficult (larger) fires unlocked later but I digress (and maybe this does work this way already)
As far as Cargo / Passenger missions go though, I don’t have many reasons to keep playing them when you unlock the 208. Once I’ve flown enough to unlock any of the company types I like, I’m stuck in the 208 even with all the aircraft unlocked. Yes… I like flying the King air or PC-24, but its counter-intuitive as it cost a lot more to operate these aircraft without any greater return. OK, maybe they get there a little quicker than the 208, but with so much more cargo capacity why wouldn’t I be taking advantage of this.
Greater mission ranges should unlock when you purchase larger aircraft. Existing missions can remain for 208 and less but offer more $ when flown in a larger capacity aircraft.
Hope this makes sense. It struck me as common sense until I realized it didn’t operate that way.
