Career Mode: What have you learned?

I returned to after SU2 and started my Career Mode from scratch. Many improvements but still this mode is in shambles. For example, cargo medium trips in a PC-24 dispatched from and to airports that resemble paved sidewalks or otherwise farm fields. Citation VIP mission (non-freelance) where the ailerons, and rudder simply malfunctioned, and the aircraft lost control. Of course, the PC-12 still gets the “hypoxia” warning. My goodness has MSFS 2024 been the world’s largest beta tested platform ever? One thing is clear: the devs dreamed of Career Mode, the principal feature of this sim - where the sim natively gave a space for users to fly with purpose, but it was a dream too big to conceive. Supposedly in July we will see Heavy Cargo introduced - but most disappointing, Career Mode is nerfed with the ability to skip hours long flights with simple press of a button. // And can we talk about those “Hold Short” boxes. Is this a test in precision stopping because they should be at least 8x larger or rid of altogether.

So, came back to the game and finally have the CJ4 available for charter missions. However, this has lead me to find another issue where ILS doesn’t work half the time - namely, the landings get botched by autopilot. I’ve crashed so many times because AP decides to bounce the plane off the tarmac, or choose to land on the grass instead of the runway. ILS is supposed to make things easier for pilots lmao. I think I can count the number of successful touchdowns I’ve had with ILS so far on one hand.

It catches the glide slope fine, just has no clue how to land

I have started using the glide slope for all but the final touchdown, where I’m just doing it myself. Is anyone else having issues with the ILS? Its driving me crazy

The CJ4 is certified for CAT I ILS or LPV/WAAS approaches with no less than 200’ AGL minimums. BARO
minimums must be used for all CAT I, LPV and other approaches. RNP AR approaches are not authorized.

The Autopilot must be disengaged no lower than 200’ AGL and the yaw damper off before touchdown.

You can find the manual for CJ4 on this page: Aircraft Manuals - Microsoft Flight Simulator
