It seems the most popular career progression path is something like:
Employee
Cargo Light - C172
VIP Private - Vision Jet
Cargo Medium - either straight to PC 12 (or via caravan)
at this point, you are getting about 1m credits per flight - nice
thats where Im at now, have a 10 planes for passive income, and my PC12.and about 8m cr in the bank.
so question is where next?
Id like to get some variety, and perhaps start doing missions that landing at bigger airports !?
but I do not see any Charter - VIP on the map ,
also do they pay similar to cargo medium? are they into big airports, or still tiny airfields?
is there something else? preferably without a lot of bugsā¦
(bit concerned about buying expensive plane only for it to crash nā burn)

You could try Airline Transport using the ES-30 or maybe the Saab 340. Youād need 99M for the 737.

I personally just kept things interesting for myself all the way through by doing a wide variety of missions. No offense meant to those who like to grind to a billion dollars as fast as humanly possible for⦠some reasonā¦? I found that pointless personally because there is no āend gameā here.
So, to your question, once I had the PC12 with medium cargo missions, I focused on purchasing more aircraft for some of the other mission types. Previous to getting the PC12, I had already done quite a lot of helicopter and fixed-wing agricultural spraying missions, so I bought another couple different aircraft types to do that. I also bought the Fireboss firefighting plane.
The PC-24 was a nice natural progression into doing some medevac and more medium cargo - it changes things up a bit from the monotony of PC12. Then I was eventually able to afford the big boi waterbomber, did some missions with that. Finally moved on to the 737 (I purchased a used one for around 40mil and slowly repaired it, which was substantially cheaper than the 99m required to buy one new).
Anyway, if you like grinding endlessly for money, then Iād just stick with the PC12 medium cargo or purchase the PC24 for medium cargo. Do that until you can afford the used 737 (save up about 50-60m so you can buy used and repair critical items). I personally donāt ever skip ANY section of ANY flight, so I have had zero bug-related crashes with the 737 causing me to lose my millions. It earns me a cool 10-15mil per flight now and I run it with maximum insurance coverage, just incase.
I still prefer to randomly do some agriculture spraying (helicopter is by far my favourite for this, takes serious skill to āgit gudā and I love chasing 100% speed and application quality, and it pays quite well too). I also pepper in some helicopter search and rescue, fixed wing search and rescue, and helicopter sling-load missions with the Chinook. The variety is excellent and keeps things fresh. Plus, keeps my skills sharp in a wide variety of aircraft.
Hope this helps!

Sadly, at least for many of us, the SAAB almost always breaks before you can get a flight started, damaging the landing gear, and in career mod many of us canāt get the autopilot working on the King-Air C90, and there seem to be very few vip missions. Iāve invested in both aircraft, and basically the PC12 for cargo is the only one that works.
Based on Criminal Pilotās post above Iām going to grind cargo until either the the Saab , or the C90 is fixed AND VIP missions become more numerous for the C90. Or buy the 737 in a few weeks when I can raise that sort of money.

Thanks,
Im not really trying to rush/grind to āend gameā⦠not really sure I want to fly the really big stuff
so, yeah, more just wondering what to do next to āprogressā.
I think you are right, Iāll just focus on getting some different aircraft and put them around the world in different places.
Iāve also noticed the other āissueā I have is that I only have the standard edition, which seems to have a very limited selection of planes for career.
I was consider the other editions but was also waiting a bit to see what the marketplace might bring.
I was wondering about the CJ4 , but apparently no missions for that
Iām at the same stage as you and was wondering what to do once youāve done several medium cargo missions with the PC12. Now that Iāve got a buffer of a few million now, Iām enjoying building out some other companies and trying some employee missions with different types of missions. Its definitely hit or miss though, Iāve run into some bugs in other missions and canāt seem to do the plane rescue missions without breaking landing gear in the X Cub. The firefighting missions are kind of fun too.
Nevertheless, I feel like there should be some more goals and things in career mode after youāve gotten to this point (besides just saving for the big 737 and beyond).

Iāve done quite a few of the different mission types, and passed all the certs.
so, Iāll complete those, and also have some of the Heli stuff still to do.
after that, yeah, I guess focus less on credits, and treat it more like Free Flight with missions
bugs, yeah, Ive found the same, the deeper I got the more issues I bump into.
e.g. I like that we can now do more missions during dawn/dusk and night, but just found that sim rate doesnāt advance time correctly, so youāll end up at runways without lights
anyway, I still enjoy it, but look forward to it getting a few fixes over the months/years!
I might give neoFly a try, as that seems to give a bit more freedom.
