Carenado Aircrafts - Your TOP 3

Looks like im about to spend more than i was thinking today hahaha

You also mentioned the Kodiak, I know it’s not for everyone but I enjoyed the Twin Otter after the Kodiak.

the C337 seems like a very unique plane as well. Love that panel!

Until the C310 was released I spent hours and hours flying the Skymaster.

The C310 is in an entirely different league. Best GA twin in MSFS by quite a bit. Just Outstanding.

took note here. I flew the Kodiak 100 so much! and they keep updating and making it even better.
That Twin Otter looks sexy indeed. How it handle?

Yep! its perfect! Being flying it since release, having a blast.

I should have named this topic: List your top 3 carenado aiplanes haha

Even if not everyone agrees with me, I have all Carenado aircraft including the two Microsoft/Carenado and I have not regretted a single purchase… Even if the updates are always very delayed, you can’t go wrong with the Carenado planes. - My humble opinion

I’ve never flown a real one so I can’t really say

It has a busy cockpit during startup and shutdown if you’re a “by the books” kind of person with procedures. The engine startups take me back to being in the Dash 8, love the sounds.

It was fun to fly.

MeixnerHannes, dont ■■■■ with my bank account!!! list your top 3 , curious here.

Top 3 Carenado Aircraft:

C337 Skymaster
M20R Mooney
PA34T Seneca V

I have all the non-taildragger Carenado planes. They’ve been good to me overall. The Seminole is ok. Nothing particularly wrong with it per se. I just don’t find it that great of a performer for a twin. Pretty much any high performance single engine is better IMHO. But maybe that’s the way it is IRL too. I have no frame of reference.

The Mooney though… that plane and I have put a lot of miles together. It was my favourite for a long time until the C310 came out. I still fly it though. It’s just that good IMHO.

Only one I fly is the 337. Seneca hasnt got a look in since the 310 arrived ( they are quite distinct to fly, I just haven’t felt like it ).

hahahaha - sorry, but unfortunately I can’t rank them according to my own preference because I just love flying all of them. I’m also really looking forward to the PC12 which is supposed to come out “very soon” almost 2 months ago  - but that’s Carenado, you get used to it - hehehehehe

Changed the topic to TOP 3, because im probably going for more than 1 tonight haha

Appreciate man!

It was built as the twin “Trainer” for Piper. The performance is pretty mild - a trainer, right? - and docile; they’re powered by the O-360 four cylinder with counter rotating propellers. Plus, it has the T-tail, which changes the way pitch authority manifests.

Not my favorite aircraft, but it is easy to fly.

Cannot do a top 3, out of the four I own only two (Staggerwing and Mooney) are actually good. Staggerwing has the sound bug though.

Good -
Staggerwing and Mooney

Bad -
The c170 is passable but not as good as the AH c140. The Waco YMF5 is fun but should be avoided as among other things ground handling is really awful, get the Stearman instead.

before I buy anything else Carenado, they need to fix the annoying multiplayer sound bugs.

I can tell you where I like to fly the different models:
With the M20R & PA34T SENECA V I have flown over the entire South American continent.
with the C337 I fly around Australia all the time…
with the PA44 I flew Alaska and Canada
PA28R ARROW III, WYMF5, CT182T and C170B are my planes for Austria
and with the PC12 I’ll do a whole world trip - when it finally comes out.

That I can attest to. Every landing I’ve made with it from my very first was pretty much a greaser. It handles really well. Very easy to fly.
