Do you know if there’s something in the config file to activate VR zoom? Or does this need to be implemented by the developer and they’ve decided not to on this module?
It’s a challenge to read everything in the cockpit without it.

I went with 0.35, 0.40 seemed a little too close for me. Of course it’s all down to personal preference.
I’m curious if there’s a way to activate the VR zoom in the config file? I’m not sure why it’s in some aircraft and not others? I find it difficult to read everything in cockpit with VR. Thanks
Great Livery. Have you shared this on any Donwloadportals?
Kind Regards

The way I come up with the position (forward vs back) is I look at the yoke. When the yoke is at the correct position relative to where my hand feels to be, then I know I’m at the right spot.
I don’t know why some devs are able to make VR Cockpit zoom work, and others can’t. For instance the JustFlight PA28 planes it works great. Since the Skymaster is mostly round gauges, its less of a problem. Planes with a lot of glass the zoom is critical.
it’s done:

Awesome repaint @pby5a! Great to hear you’ve been able to work with Carenado’s paint kit.
Seeing as you have leaned towards Kiwi repaints in the past, could I request any of the following schemes for the 337 please:
ZK-SVY
ZK-DFT
ZK-TAI (Written off in the 1980’s, but an important historical aircraft in NZ)
Yep. 100% agree.
Thanks a lot
Did you find a paintkit for the c337 or did you use the included id1_ext and id2_ext textures? I am struggeling a bit with these, but they seem to be nearly straight forward to use. But a paintkit would be better.
I’m not a fan of the big green sunglasses but the video is helpful - talks about centerline thrust, other items specific to the rear engine wrt to aircraft operation and performance etc..
If you are reading this devs, Yet another 3rd party plane without VR cockpit zoom. sadly, I can’t live without it, so it’s one purchase I will not make, which is a shame as it looks like a beautiful rendition.
What’s worse is, some Carenado planes have it implemented but most don’t. Is there an associated cost? Need some consistency.
Can you not get together with the 3rd party devs who do know how to implement it, like Just Flight, MilViz, SimWorks Studios and make sure it is available on all Carenado products?
I used the files from the texture.base folder. These are white texture files. In photoshop, they are the layer above my paintwork, set to multiply. No need for a paintkit.
Ok. Thx. Same did I only with paint.net. Thought someone mentioned a paintkit.
Got it last night a flew a bit. Good plane, the flight model is okay (stuff missing like some parasitic drag from ailerons and gear bay doors are missing), but it’s a good plane. A bit limited in the livery department.
I do have some issues with the addon, though :
What i’d love to see happen :
You don’t need a fix. You should only bind the camera movement. Everytime i jump on a airplane I adjust the “seat position” moving forward/backward, up/down the camera. Take a look at the VR session bindings.
This is what I want! I didn’t know anything about “The Night Flier” until I looked it up just now, but I want black liveries for all my aircraft. There’s so few black ones.
I’m working on one, patience please..
Ah repainting that white version is the best solution, no paint kit needed.
And maybe you could help me with a specific problem…
I just cannot find the EDM gauge texture anywhere in any of the texture folders (it needs a little texture fix). If you have seen this gauge somewhere please let me know.
Oh and if you need some inspiration for your Night Flier texture:
This Night Flier livery seem to be in use for a O-2 version of the Skymaster:
Even a vampire knows that flying an air-conditioned plane is much more comfortable than transforming into a bat and flying around as bat during these cold winter nights.
