Hi my friends,
does anyone know how exactly this engine gauge functions?
When just looking at it, the numbers seem to represent the cylinders 1 - 6 with EGT eject gas temperature as upper bar and CHT cylinder head temperature as lower bar.
But the value for T is unclear (TIT means turbine interstage temperatur but it has no turbine) and these two numbers for STEP and LEANFIND are also unclear.
Strange is also the horse power value in the upper middle which is never exceeding ~110hp even when full throttle (but it should have 280 horse power).
Have a wonderful weekend!

You can learn all about it here. I read through it one time. Basically with this information you can get greater engine life which helps extend maintenance schedules (which saves money) and also get better fuel economy. All your decisions can be made on a per-cylinder basis rather than an average across all cylinders which allows you to be more accurate. But none of that is important in the simulator so I stopped using it.

Awesome a whole explaination and a video about one singe instrument! Thank you very much.
This was one of the gauges that made the Mooney M20 so interesting for me (in combination with the other awesome engine gauges).
This machine is absolutely recommended
no other cockpit design can beat all these awesome engine gauges.
