Carenado PC-12

Hi,

I’m currently on my first flight in the Carenado PC-12 and I’m getting a “CHIP” annunciator, followed by a warning and then followed by a master warning.

I’ve been digging through the Carenado documentation and can’t find anything about the annunciator. In official Pilatus documentation the only reference I can find about it is regarding foreign materials in the gearbox..?

Any idea what it is, how to prevent it and how to fix it?

From Pilatus documentation: “The scavenge
system in the propeller reduction gearbox incorporates a magnetic chip detector that
detects foreign matter in the system and causes the “Engine Chip” caution in the CAS
window to come on. The chip detector also acts as the propeller reduction gearbox oil
drain. A second magnetic chip detector is installed in the accessory gearbox. It is also
connected to the CAS “Engine Chip” caution and operates in parallel to the reduction
gearbox chip detector.”
