“you overstressed the Aircraft” … although I fly a good 20 ktn below the speed limit … no flaps or gear set … no idea why this appears … no special behaviour before it happens.
I think they used a PC-12/45 from towards the end of the production of that variant. Its not the OG 45. Going by their Page they didn’t work directly with Pilatus like SWS does. Maybe they only had access to a 45 which would be strange going by how many NG are in circulation but its a possibility.
Besides your remarks…the GTN750 Xi touch screen is not reacting at all (and the aircraft is indeed too heavy on the FR (I have a 3090 GTX)… waste of money…the first Carenado aircraft in MSFS (I have all of them) that is not that good
For the people who want to load the GTN750 automaticly on startup you can add the following part to the [LocalVars.0] section in the .flt files in carenado-aircraft-pc12\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado_PC12 like apron.flt, runway.flt, cruise,flt etc. etc.
[LocalVars.0]
AS530_HIDDEN=1
GTN750_INT_HIDDEN=0
This method (but probably a different lvar name) should work in other airplanes aswell. (Mostly the Carenado’s)
I’ve included a mod that you can unpack in the community folder. Rename the file from carenado-aircraft-pc12-mod.zip.pln to carenado-aircraft-pc12-mod.zip
The sound bug goes away when you uninstall the D17 Staggerwing and the WYMF5. Important! The 2 folders with the ending “CVT” must also be deleted. I will install the WYMF5 again in the course of the day, because I believe that the sound bug only comes from the D17…
FPS: my settings are generally “Ultra” and a few are set to “High”. With all other planes I have a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 90 FPS. With the PC-12, I start with 40 FPS, which then drops to a maximum of 20 FPS after about 5 minutes of flight time, sometimes even below 10.
Put it in the hanger, the plane is unusable like this!!!
Just FYI I deleted the FlySimWare GTNx 750 and the PMS 550 and that fixed the issue for all aircraft that used the default HSI as well as the Carenado PC-12 HSI…I guess it overwrites the xml file perhaps or something…
I am a Steam user SU 10 BETA
Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Official\Steam
I show it with the M20R - there are 2 folders:
Folder 1: “carenado-aircraft-m20r-ovation” (this folder is deleted when you uninstall the aircraft).
Folder 2: "carenado-aircraft-m20r-ovation_CVT_" (but this folder remains in the directory after uninstalling and the sound bug also remains) - at least that’s how it was for me!
Good review indeed. And not as negative as some suggest. I did not expect such extreme negative reactions towards the release. Although i’m also looking forward to the SWS version, i do like this one actually. The SWS version will be more in depth but there are quit a few things i really dislike about the Kodiak. I doesn’t have a tablet (which makes adding or removing crewmembers a hassle). It had serious fps problems at start and was pretty awful to handfly with my old stick. I really hope they improve on that regard with their pc-12
I can’t believe Carenado still has the same sound bug (where it uses other Carenado aircraft and/or picks up another multiplayer aircraft as your sound) after all this time. I agree with whoever said it further up the thread… no more free rides for Carenado (including this one) until their QA is better.
