It’s one of my favourite turboprops, for sure. It can do everything, really. Cross continents, cruise at 30,000ft, land on short runways, dirt/grass strips, you name it.
I just sat there gazing at the tan perforated leather seats in the Carenado DA62 for about 5 minutes straight in Flyinside VR FSX. VR’s native stereoscopic 3D convergence made them pop out at you and look so life like almost as if you could touch and smell them.
What does it say you bought on that receipt?
If you and Carenado don’t care then why bother making a point of it. There are plenty of reasons not to buy on the Marketplace, hell there was a whole thread on the subject. If they truly as you say don’t care then I’m happy to keep my money away from them. They are the ones missing out. They don’t even make the best aircraft and there have been plenty of issues. I hope you were enjoying your chocolate when the Mooney was stuck in the hangar for so long while it’s owners waited and waited for updates. If you want to carry on funding these behaviours that’s your choice but nothing will change if you do. I prefer to wallet vote because that is the primary way to get their attention. If enough folks were to do that they would have to take a different approach.
I know what you mean Sometimes you can truly forget you’re not actually in a physical aircraft. I’ve definitely tried to adjust a knob or flip a switch with my hand, only to be reminded that there was not, in fact, a physical cockpit around me. It’s fun how well you can fool your brain with VR.
And so the TBM930 do it
I would consider buying this aircraft to keep me busy untill SWS release their version later this year. Does anyone know whether the Carenado PC-12 will be available on Xbox? SWS’s PC-12 will, as it wont be dependent on WASM.
Thats the most important part for me. I own the Carenado Mooney, Senecca and Seminole, but the lack of liveries sucks. No more marketplace purchases for me.
The PC-12 has better short field performance though.
There are a few vendors taking longer to put out updates to their aircraft after SU’s - eating into that one argument a bit.
Carenado’s ‘partner’ status means they have an inside track on the changes and how to implement them - other developers seem to say they need time to figure out what was changed and how to implement properly.
Also : this addition must mean the SDK and SU’s regarding turbine powered aircraft have been helpful
Planes from Carenado are a must I have them all and none have disappointed me so far. Yes, there are small faults here and there, but overall they are high quality and very pleasant to fly - I like them a lot and buying through the marketplace is and never was a problem
I like the Carenado planes, but I’m going to wait for the SWS one and then make a decision. The Kodiak is just superior to Carenado offerings, so it’s likely this will be the case here too.
There are two Carenado aircraft that are not necessary to me: The Arrow III (which I have but have since uninstalled because JustFlight) and PC-12 (because of SWS, though it will be a bit of a wait - but no worries since I have plenty of things to fly)… LOVE Carenado though.
I plan to buy both. I hate the marketplace, but I like Carenado and have been happy with all their releases. They’re the only exception I make for purchasing anything from the marketplace. Lionheart’s last release was a marketplace exclusive, and I’ve refused to buy it until it’s available via 3rd party stores, if it ever is.
I disliked Carenado in sims of the past, but I feel they’ve stepped up their game in this one.. although they’ve only released simple aircraft so far. I’m mostly interested in business jets, so I’m waiting for them to bring something like their Falcon FA50 EX so I can judge them properly.
Totally agree about the PA28. I have the Carenado one (solely because the JF Arrows aren’t on the Xbox yet) and it’s not good. It looks great, don’t get me wrong. It just flies… weird. It’s difficult to explain. I just don’t like it.
I completely forgot about that one. I own it, but I dont think I flew it beyond my usual test flight.
I have always been happy with Carenado on Fsx, unfortunately in Fs 2020 models I care a lot like Mooney, Seneca and Seminole there is not the slightest idea when they will be available on the Market place xbox
I’d be willing to bet never. Unfortunately.
You do realize the SWS PC-12 will be a different variant? Carenado’s version is an older variant. I don’t disagree SWS products are hands down solid.Own their Kodiak and there is no other bush plane that tops it imo.
Well, not one from their back catalog I would have picked, but it remains impressive how fast they are cranking out solid add-ons.
