I didn’t mean to sound negative with my comment on the 182. It’s not that I dislike cessna specifically, I actually wanted to say that I don’t typically prefer single engine piston, however I do occasionally fly the bonanza..I think it’s actually more of I don’t particularly like fixed landing gear and the slow speeds. (Do keep in mind that I’ve never tried the 182, and I don’t know it’s speed) I do tend to gravitate towards twin engine though. My dilemma is more about spending $30 on an aircraft I’ll likely rarely fly, even if I like it. I have the premium deluxe, so I already have two versions of the 172, and two versions of the 152. My opinion can change though, as I wasn’t interested in prop planes at all until MSFS. I was all about business jets in X-Plane 11. I will likely buy it eventually. I apologise for getting off topic in this thread as well. That wasn’t my intention.
@Haddock314945 I’m on week 1 production for the Bravo, so theoretically, if things go according to plan, mine should ship in 10 days, which I’m really excited about. (If I don’t sound excited, it’s because it’s 6am here and I just got home from work:sleeping_face:
)
I’m downloading the Piper as I type this😁
Just did a quick test flight and the aircraft is quite impressive. Looks awesome and fps are very good. Good old steam gauges .
Taking a look now, but I will be looking out for the NOTAM review.
Both the C182T, and Mooney M20R initial releases had messed up quick views. How is the Seminole in that regard?
Until the next MFS update, enjoy them.
I’m angry, I bought the MR20R and C182T and haven’t been able to use them for weeks. no update from Carenado since the last but one MFS update.
Last update Sep !!
I thought the only issue left was crashing if you click a rotary, with an easy workaround: don’t click! The mouse wheel approach works.
My mouse wheel goes in 10 unit increments… Is that changeable in the settings?
That’s an issue discussed elsewhere, due to controllers with latching switches that are bound, like on the Honeycomb yoke.
Sadly, you have to unbind them to get back your 100ft/1degree increments. Unless you are talking about acceleration, where you scroll the mouse wheel and it eventually ticks up at a faster rate.
I wish they’d fix the Mooney before releasing other products . Was really enjoying the Mooney before this update debacle and would have bought this PA-44 on release otherwise .
I’m not a huge fan of twins in general, but I’ve been more than happy with Carenado’s previous releases. so I will probably give this a go soon.
Gotcha, thanks. Would I unbind my Honeycomb latching switches (lights?) and rebind them, or just the mouse wheel? I can try to find the thread if you don’t remember.
Edit: Never mind. I see you’re saying unbind and not rebind… Which is certainly unfortunate.
Hello
Carenado has already warned 3 times that the Updates were coming, but that they are waiting for complements and patches from Asobo.
Published on twitter on 13.11 (https://twitter.com/Carenado/status/1327044341303537664) :
Different situation with our M20R Ovation on which most of issues are working fine now, but there are still some which need a fix. We are working on them and expect to send a new package to Microsoft in the next days.
Please be patient.
Also, with it being this close to a new patch coming out, we won’t see anything till after the new one is released. It would be a big annoyance if the fixed aircraft end up getting broken again by Tuesday’s patch if Asobo have changed something else that affects them negatively.
For me this is getting boring. Just one more standard GA plane among dozens. Apart from IndiaFoxTecho noone has published anything really different and interesting. Like an old warbird or transport or passenger plane from the 30s to 50s, or something unique like the P.180. Not even a 2-engined turboprop like the Dash 8 or Dornier 328. So having a G58 look-alike (even if it works better) doesn’t really excite me.
Quick views can be fixed easily. There are mods out there. Flightsim.to
Some words on the FPS Performance, outside and inside difference?
You guys are twisting my arm right now. I’m buying it after work!
I didnt noticed any perfomance difference than before
Well I bought the plane and did some patterns and a ILS approach. I have never flown any MEP only SEP so I am not quite the best for this. But from a simmer pov I enjoyed the short flights. All normal phases of flight feel very smooth and reasonable. The AP followed the route perfectly as well as the glideslope and localizer. Only the transition for level change is abprut. I used the charts provided by carenado do find the power settings which worked quite well.
Negative I find that the textures, primarily the ones for gauges are very low resolution and I am having trouble reading them, espacially of the ADI. Some textures seem to be imported from the P3D version (Locking hatch of the door, Fire extinguisher, instrument panel and the top of it etc.) also the extrior at first looks very good, but when doing a “preflight inspection” you can see low resolution, espacially when looking at the landing light.
Here is a example:
I have know carenado before for its basic quality so my expectations where quite right. For 30€ I think its a bit overpriced for a medium quality airplane and this new market enviroment. Overall I think I will enjoy this airplane. Cheers, Jacob
Just purchased the Seminole an hour ago.. really impressed so far!
However.. whenever I enable autopilot, the aircraft goes crazy and basically heads straight for a barrel-roll into the ground.
I’m still getting familiar with the systems.. but is anyone else experiencing this? Am I overlooking something simple?
Cheers!
