There really is no easier plane to fly than the J3.
- turn on mags
- prime the engine
- spin the prop.
- taxi and enjoy the low and slow flight.
This is one my most enjoyable planes to fly. Just something about slipping it right onto the runway in the evening 
I’d love a Super Cub, but nothing beats the simplicity of the J3. There isn’t even a mixture lever!
This plane is my number 1 for vfr. The best UI optimisation, the most intuitive mechanics for freelook and system management. I wouldn’t change anything, it is perfect as it is. The fullest 5 star plane in MP.
is there a way to get my avatar show up in the cockpit (MS2024). i get an empty cockpit if i select the MSFS avatar.
I don’t think so as it’s not a native 2024 aircraft.
i have the 2024 version, but it feels not native for me. No avatars, you can walk through the wings, plane crashes if i open the window mid flight.
Avatars work for me in 2024, you control them through the CAS tablet, not the sim one. You actually click on the image of each person sitting in the plane to make them appear and disappear. I’m not in front of my my comp or I’d share a screenshot.
yes thats what i tried. In the CAS tablet you have the option to toggle MSFS avatars, too. But this dont work for me, aswell

That’s for the avatars that come with the aircraft. There is an option use the MSFS native avatars instead, but you when you do they don’t show up.
Modified title & removed the release dates (was CAS J3 Cub Released 6/13/24 Marketplace Release 9/12/24) & added tags for searchability.
You have to disable aircraft and crash damage if you want to fly with windows or door open in flight. Makes sense, but also that’s always the first thing you turn off in a flight sim. It serves no purpose other than to annoy you like this. I mean, you know if you crashed lol.
The window crash was a problem in 2020 and it apparently carried over to 2024.
Anyone having this weird new issue?
On first flight (starting on runway), moving my joystick forward and backwards for elevator also moves the trim handle along with it (in analogue, like an axis).
If I touch down after taking off, then lift off again (not switching anything “off”), it fixes itself!

The thing is, I don’t think that behavior started right away in the flight, but I’m not totally sure.
