Cessna 172 steering on ground impossible

Had the same problem for a long time and in my case it was the toe braking that caused the problem. Have to admit that the handling is not correct compared with C172 on xplane. I have tried a workaround as described in the following post:

Hi All, This is very frustrating. Can’t taxi with the cessna 172 because the nose wheel steering don’t work. I have bind nose wheel steering to the z axis of my joystick and also try it to bind to my pedals without setting the rudder and also this is not working. Any other option to make an assignment in order to make taxiing with the Cessna 172 working? Thanks!
