Latest as of 1.35.21.0 sim version.

Brief description of the issue:

Navigating in VLOC mode, NAV enabled, outbound 344 radial of OBK VOR. Airplane is unable to track and maintain the radial and weaves back and forth. It would seem the AP tuning is underdamped and needs some improvements.

If so …

This is a confirmed Bug in Sim Update 12. Asobo said they fixed it in Sim Update 13, but unfortunately it looks like only fixed for G1000 planes. Many other planes still have this bug. Here is the original Sim Update 12 bug thread on this bug.

I think you will see that if you go back into cockpit mode, the autopilot catches up again.

What I am seeing on OP screenshot looks different than the external view issue, the trajectory is making regular “S”.

No, I was in the cockpit watching it weave back and forth.

If I remember the bug you are referencing, it was AP not working at all when external. You would just fly off like in HDG mode. In my instance, NAV was working, just very poorly It has the classic symptoms of an under-damped control loop.
