Very helpful. Thanks for writing this up !
Thank You for sharing… I would have been floundering without this helpful guide…
Are anybody experiencing that Yoke or Pedals get disconnected and you have to restart computer to get them working. Problem started after i installer Ch manager.
I’ve honestly seen opinions on both sides about CH Manager and other controller software. Some people swear they can’t run without it and some installs won’t run with it installed. I’ve never used it and my CH Yoke has run bug free all through Alpha/Beta. Your call!
yup but only if I pause and minimize FS. When I restore the windows usually (but not always) my yoke can no longer control the AC. However, if I go into the control settings screen all of the yokes functions seem to work fine.
Great Info here on the CH Products Flight Sim Yoke… I’m a newbie… My Question is … on the CH Yoke… for external camera view… Looking at plane from the rear, and looking down at plane… what buttons do you use??? I’ve tried buttons 3/4 and 9/10 with no success… any help would be appreciated… and thanks in advance for any help or suggestions…
You have to check your yoke settings/ camera/ pan left, pan right, pan up, pan down.
I used to have disconnects of the CH yoke and throttles back when I was flying FSX on Windows 8.1; there was some bug in Windows that kept shutting them off. Since Windows 10, and through P3D and now MSFS2020, they’ve worked great, and without the CH Manager installed.
You might want to look to see if your Windows power settings are shutting USB peripherals off, too.
yoke setting in the game.
Anyone using CH Products Pro Throttle? Have you got it working?
These are my External Camera settings. You can bind different Cameras all to the “Hat” and they will not conflict - Cockpit Camera, External Camera, Instrument Views. Also you don’t need to know the actual controller input number. You can bind just by clicking the correct input (Hat switch) in the right direction for each command. Click the “Search By Input” box in the binding window (not Select An Input) and then activate the controller.
Thanks fhcraig… this might be a dumb question… but if my camera’s are all tied to my POV, how do you separate the camera views using the same POV button… meaning changing from interior camera views to exterior camera views??? that’s where I’m stumped.
From my earlier post in this thread…I’m using two buttons to toggle between cockpit and external views…once in a particular view, whatever Pan POV button you have set will be honored.
I’ve also bound the reset function to these buttons so that a double click of the same button will reset the view. I find it is working really well for how I like to use the views.

I finally figured it out… I failed to bind the Camera Mode Switch… once I had it assigned I was in business… Thank You all for your help
I found that with some of the axis (like the throttle), you can’t just use the x,y, or z axis. For the throttle the axis goes from - to 0 to +. So you must assign for example LaxisX+, so that that axis will now go from 0 to +. I had to do this to the throttle and toe brakes.
My throttle, mix, and prop do not work correctly on 2020. They work fine on FSX (same computer) but they only are either 100% or 50% on 2020… I have tried everything, and CH Products support was so cool they even called me and tried to help. I am using the Steam version on windows 10. Any ideas how I can get those to work?
Thanks,
Randy
@RandyMan2001 - When you move the controls that you have mapped, do the bars below the mapping (showing 50% in your screenshot) move through the entire range or just 50% and 100%?
This is the first time I have heard of this specific issue, but there have been plenty of complaints about Steam’s rollout. See: https://www.notebookcheck.net/The-Steam-version-of-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-is-plagued-with-download-issues-non-availability-of-content-and-a-host-of-other-problems.488018.0.html
What sensitivity values do you all use for the yoke and pedal axis for “most realistic” feel? I have mine at about -40%.
I’m using -50% for the yoke axes and thinking about lowering them. I don’t have pedals.
With the linked “auto rudder” I have a little problem steering on the ground. With the C152 and C172, I can’t get a tight enough turning radius.
Can you send it to me please.
