Just finished the update and had a casual fly around the Chicago area. I have to say the general ground scenery looks way better, especially the street lightings. The downtown area looks kind of dim, seems the building lights only come from the windows, without any further decoration lightings. But honestly this is exactly how it looks like right now, since the beginning of the 2020 lockdown. Hope they keep it up!

I did not notice any perceptible change…?
Ground lighting was way better. Used to be very dark and obscure
Also the building lighting model has been changed if you have a closer look
The skyline is completely ruined. NO Willis tower, no trump tower, no marina towers, Buildings look generic and many iconic buildings are replaced with blocks of generic buildings. Very disappointed. Did not fly at night time yet.
This does not look like Chicago at all!!! Only Hancock tower is made better

Willis tower and trump tower has been looking weird since the beginning. But I should have a closer look at morning time
That’s not photogrammetry. You should turn it on.

Sorry to sound a bit dumb! But is there a way to turn photogrammetry on and off? I use ultra quality.

Much better. Though some buildings are still missing but perhaps may load given some time. Thank you very much. I dont know when and why it had turned off! I have unlimited data setting.
Some buildings are not exactly like they should be but overall good. You can also try manually download the area

I’ve noticed no change to the night lighting, in terms of too many lights in rural areas, since this week’s update. I watched the Developer’s meeting on Twitch today, and they said this issue will be addressed in the upcoming update or two.

I noticed this as well. I lived in Chicago for 6 years and this looks nothing like it. Where’s the Hancock tower? Where’s Lake Point Towers? Where’s Navy Pier, lol.
I found out later that that particular SU turned off my photogrammetry setting and once turned on again, it seemed to be fine, esp now.
Oh, I need to check that too, then. I didn’t know that was a setting, lol.
certainly not to take anything away from the packaged Chicago, but,…I spent 20 years there flying around in real life and I agree that there is something lacking…I bought an addon Chicago Skyline and was blown away! Don’t know if this allowed, but Drzewecki Deesign’s Chicago Landmarks MSFS is outstanding…just saying…the sim never looked better…
