Yes, good find. The same issue is true for the whole of Germany, too.
WU6 was the first one that did not contain a “procedural buildings” package. I guess it was rushed out too early. (despite it being Jorg Neumann’s home country )
We’ll see how MS2024 is performing in that respect. Until then it would be great if Asobo/MS/Blackshark AI (whoever is responsible) would add the procedural building sets for WU6, WU8, WU9 and WU14 in a general Word Update update.
but I agree the more buildings the merrier the sim!
Lets face it, thats what Tourist like and are drawn towards is the old iconic buildings of Churches/Cathedrals/Mosques/ Temples/very old remaining-building Ruins
Especially with Black Shark AI,
Thats why I have created a WISHLIST Vote for upgrades/improvements to Black-Shark AI which seems to have halted to a standstill right now..
I’m a bit concerned with too much dependancy on Photogrametry method,
Soo we need an improved Black-Shark AI for those of us who can’t run with Photogrametry or hate the apocalyse grey melted building look or it simly is not avaliable in your Country/Region/State
Especially after all the Server issues and or ISP Throttlings..
If you actually fly to Rochester NY KROC in the cockpit IRL Browncroft Community church’s blue roof is a vip landmark for a runway 25 and 28 landing for finding the approach pattern if your doing a VFR into there
Most counties in the world already have detailed Road/Car GPS maps, but despite all that data being available, MSFS still struggle to identify roads correctly from the Bing maps, placing Rocks and Trees in the middle of them, and coloring them the same GREEN, as they use to enhance the Green color of surrounding green foliage.
Same applies to Train Tracks
Both Roads and Railway Tracks, being important to many stages, of VFR fights.
Railway Tracks – The Oshkosk FISK arrival immediately come to mind.
I have implemented the Blackshark solution
(One must really like gothic style although )
In Europe and North America (elsewhere that architecture style is really off imho)
Yup, wanted those greenhouses, end up with churches
A friend came up with some church models asking for mass placement, you will end up with wrong styles anyway, so autogen is more suitable Imho
At the end of game, churches are tall buildings, at a distance Romanesque Vs Gothic is not that big deal )
Well if you two guys put your heads together, can’t we expect something spectecular?
Just kidding. I guess another problem is the regio-specific style of religious buildings which actually vary a lot even within a specific region like Germany (brickstone in the North, onion-shaped roofs in Bavaria for example).
At the moment we do have region-specific autogen churches for Britain, France and Scandinavia if I remember correctly. Not sure about Japan though. Weren’t there temples in WU 1? - So something like that must be possibel. But probably not for 3rd Party Developers - not even the best.
Give us an Autogen SDK and you’ll have dozens of new details in scenery. Sadly, I doubt we will ever see autogen sdk as it is heavily connected with Blackshark software.
Thank you sooo much for this addon. Of course it’s just a basic representation of churches and as you write yourself, the gothic style for all is not really fitting, but still it is soooo much better now!
Since the topic was automatically bumped, may I ask whether there have been any improvements or changes in MSFS 2024?
I understand that procedural buildings in 2024 are the same as in 2020 and that, therefore, we still lack churches (or other culturally specific buildings), farms, factories, etc.
Has anyone found a solution yet, or do we have to wait for Asobo to make general improvements to autogen buildings?
