Cirrus clouds

I think they might be out of resources…as in 2020 is maxed out. Not sure about this, but I know at FS Expo they said 2024 wouldn’t be main thread limited anymore and because of that many things that can’t currently be done will be able to once 2024 releases. I think this includes the weather issues many of us have been wanting addressed. I guess we will see, but I wouldn’t expect 2020 to improve at all in the live weather department.

That’s very good. Frankly, XPlane’s lighting and clouds are starting to embarrass MSFS.

Not sure I understand how that could be. When MSFS was released, the clouds were great and very convincing. I suppose you’re on to something though, as once they brought X-Box into the equation, suddenly the clouds got watered down, and several other things too in order to facilitate x-box…

Yah, I downloaded the demo (with latest updates) I haven’t flown yet in it but intend to try it out. We’re pilots, and ironically this is where we spend most of our time in the sim (I hope!) so… makes sense to have the most realistic atmosphere, right?

Any update on cloud types in MSFS 2020?

buy msfs2024 ohh sorry pre-order msfs2024 if you want cirrus clouds LOL

Honestly, Im not sure how these supposed new cirrus are looking in FS24. As far as I know, there has been just 1 screen showing them, and they didnt look very good to me.

Other than that, I havent seen them in tech alpha nor Grand Canyon preview. So Im not very confident we are going to have them, and if we have them, it feels like they are rushing them.
