I fly regularly from KHEF Manassas to Bay Bridge W29 for quickie GA flights. Annapolis was dreadful before, will have to check that out. Old Town Alexandria was a wet hot mess and now every single building is covered in PG accurately.
I saw the same. I didnât reboot when I installed the update and removed DC. Will go back and clear the cache files(not rolling cache-donât use it) and restart.
heh saw that at the armory. Itâs not perfect, but still quite amazing. Still canât get over Top Golf. I guess the circus was in town at the harbor
Just only me without white house in this update and DDâ KDCA has 2 set of PAPA Lights??
Happy flight~
Dose those tower really exist in the DC ??
Fireworks has been in the sim for at least one year, if not longer. And yes, for the USA set your time to the mentioned 4th July, 10 PM
NOTE: The Philadelphia Art Museum appears to be fixed.
And not for the best if the Polls are to believed
Very clearly a matter of opinion! Also, politics and off topic
After Try to disabled all addons then there is one thing for sure, WH is âGONEâ
Badass~
Itâs probably not meant to be seen that close, especially in one of the most restricted airspaces in the world, but the D.C. photogrammetry is almost as bad as Londonâs. Everything has a very strong green tint, with low contrasty washed out textures and there are melted and warped buildings everywhere. Itâs also a pretty stuttery experience.
The recent Las Vegas City Update is leagues better in quality.
Iâm not sure it could get any worse, but time will tell.
Personal Comments and Observations
The Kiley Apartments (lower center) where my family used my Dadâs crash pad when he wasnât in residence when we visited DC long ago. It was immediately recognizable once I located the Mary W. Jackson NASA building (middlecenter) which I first noticed when staying there.
I brought the drone view very low to confirm the exterior and itâs as I remembered it.
PG isnât supposed to be viewed this close - but as a Living World thatâs streamed to me over a standard Internet broadband connection and is as I remembered, itâs amazing. Being able to locate where Iâve been in DC - Iâd go walk under the 695/395 for about three blocks and Iâd be at the National Mall end closest to the Capitol Building. The accuracy and fidelity astonishes me still today, almost four years to when I first saw MSFS 20 in action.
Did you figure out a way to fix the flat Congress Library and Superem court buildings?
Not yet, I went flying around other NoVa areas the rest of the night. I also havenât tried putting my DC scenery back in either to see if the new PG just fills the gaps. I donât want to give up my boats/bridges and the train that runs across. Plus the other 4 airports.
I was going to go through and clear all the various cache files and shader files, the usual tune-up first. Then go back adding DC back in to see what happens.
For mine, I uninstalled DC then installed the CU, and went right into the sim, the Washington monument was missing too. I figured itâd be a bit buggy without even a reboot, was more interested in the bad PG areas like the harbor and suburbs that I knew were absolutely horrid before.
That Cub is something else for spotting this stuff. I have plenty of other slow and low aircraft but holy smokes when you know exactly what youâre looking at thatâs not just a âdestinationâ and completely on mental âautopilotâ- in that Cub itâs pretty amazing where you can really feel the flight model. Unfortunately the big friggin trees to the side of my house mostly obsucre it(IRL too). But dang, itâs actually my house now, used to be a green muddy kinda-sorta road and autogen.
I flew around Crystal City and didnât see anything like that. 395 had signs and most cars were even rendered in 3d. Looked more like CasualClickâs PG.
that does look terrible. Yeah worse than Vegas
Did anybody see those flatten areas around Capital Hill and White house? I have made the community folder empty but there is no help. Those flattens are most likely related to the hand made addon buildings (Capital Hill and White house).
Please check them and see if you guys can duplicate what I have seen. Thanks.
