Agree, not something worth agonizing about. There are higher priority issues like the elevation spikes which absolutely kill immersion.
I say everyone has their own priorities. You posted GA picture, earlier we have seen airliners. Probably he spend much more time in cloud levels (so am I) than low ground
That will be fixed with the next update.
Yes, I know about the elevation update coming from Asobo, looking forward to it. And yes I fly high altitude, FBW almost exclusively. Yes it bothers me, what I was trying to say as, someone else did above, is that I donât think there is a solution beyond an update that would likely impact performance.
You donât have to answer so smugly. You presented your tip as the standard solution but failed to mention that the image quality suffers. I donât mind if someone wants to degrade their graphics, but then please point out what your tip does. There are enough people here who adopt this without questioning it and then complain about poor graphics.
And yet no mention of the issue in the Q&A. I asked the question in chat during the stream and all I got was the usual âthereâs a fix on the forumsâ in reply from another chat user. Turning off sharpening so everything looks fuzzy andâŠnot sharpâŠis not a fix. Turning sharpening back up again in Nvidea controls is also not a fix, it should bleedin work right in the right place, like it did on launch back in August.
The first two picture just a general screenshot about the grainy cloud, settings is ultra with maxed shadows details and made when I recorded stable 45fps (just to not say, itâs crappy bc my PC couldnât handle it)
Yes, we are moaning about this, because this is the most visible issue, however as some of us mentioned above and would like to highlight either, the problem is not with that type of clouds as the rest seems fine, but the way as the sim is processing lights & shadows (and the reflection at the windscreen at night during taxiing) . Here are 3 another pics with the same issue. If Asobo could fix it, I am sure the clouds would be better either.
And a bonus short vid about the clouds pixelated edge
Clouds are pixelated for me too on ultra settings (v1.12.13.0 - steam edition), but interestingly only when looking at them from above.
When flying besides or underneath the clouds it looks pretty good actuallyâŠ
hi
i had the same problem and try every soluce but yesterday i supprim a softwar orbx NAMED SoFly ( SoFly ) Météo Preset Pro
FOR Microsoft Flight Simulator and every pixels go on try if you have this software third party or other for clouds
amicaly
Has anyone found a real solution to fixing the clouds that look blurry or pixelated? I tried taking film grain off and to me it made the game look worse in general. I run at ultra with no real issues. I know I currently donât have the best gpu but that shouldnât affect it so much.
I have an I9-10850K, 32 GB RAM, and currently a 1070 for gpu.
No real solution at all yet, we are just going to have to hang in there until World Update 3 where Asobo has listed it will make âOngoing Improvementsâ. Really hope that the improvement they make is substantial.
Turning image sharpening off on my amd graphics did nothing.
Itâs the Film Grain that you need to turn off, not Sharpening⊠I keep the sharpening on.
I turned off the film grain and to me it made all the clouds look worse. Unless I did it wrong.
Lol. I think nothing can be changed with the clouds. Not every cloud looks so grainy but some cloud formations. We have to vote maybe they will find a solution without loosing fps.
Film grain off still results in grainy looking clouds. This is also noticed on xenviro clouds. Its probably there for performance reasons.
