I agree the Cn tower unfortunately has become a massive bee hive. on a positive note I reached out to the developer who did the CYTZ airport add-on and the CN tower is included along with a lot of downtown buildings to compliment the city/airport, and it is currently available for PC only but they said they are working on it to be released soon in a couple or so weeks for Xbox marketplace. and it looks fantastic. something to look forward too. Toronto will be Toronto again
Iāve used the Greater Toronto freeware by Roman Design before. Maybe itās an option for those who are not satisfied with the Asobo outcome. It got a modeled CN Tower and fixed some bugs too, like the altitude issues for the rivers. I have yet to compare both versions though.

Nope, nothing and no hint as to when that might be fixed.
There is a āfixā but it will cost a few bucks. FSimStudioās CYTZ Billy Bishop airport addon includes many 3D modeled buildings, including CN Tower. Its a worthy addition to the sim and corrects the photogrammetry mess.

Wow! Yeah, the new Canada update needs some MAJOR polish. The whole Toronto region looks worse than before.
The Niagara region also looks a lot worse in certain areas. For example - Port Dalhousie is suddenly flat.
OH! And Niagara Falls has some significant glitches in the water. Definitely needs some updates.

I agree. I first flew over Calgary after the update was so disappointed. Its like a bomb went off. I sent in a screenshot of it. Vancouver Toronto as well are terrible. I noticed Toronto when I tried the discovery flight. I even went as far as to use the cache option, downloaded the data, and the quality was still the horrible apocalyptic vision. I deleted the World update and there was an improvement. I wonāt reinstall the update until there is a solution. What a shame!

CN Tower fixed? !! I just tried a flight from Toronto center (island) airport. The marketplace and servers appeared offline. Checking the settings showed that photogrammetry was off. I toggled it back on and got a message that the photogrammetry was unavailable. I shut down MSFS and a little while later tried relaunching it. Tried the same flight from the airport and Toronto now looks MUCH better! No giant growth on the CN Tower. The city hall, Rogers center, Casa Loma, etc. are back close to where they should be.
Is it possible that someone added new photogrammetery to replace the bad stuff? Seems very quick for newly acquired data. As a coincidence the local news services ran this story last week. https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/plane-loops-across-toronto-area-for-nearly-four-hours-in-middle-of-night-1.6147603
Just loaded in on Xbox Series X and it does not appear to have been fixed, still a broken CN Tower and melted. Sort of unbelievable they released it in this state given how close this airport is.

Sadly, it was too good to last. Must have been some sort of glitch causing it to revert to the older photogrammetry. I launched it again a few minutes ago and Iām back to the zombie apocalypse version. I am getting a lot of server disconnect messages similar to what is being reported elsewhere on the forum. Perhaps itās something related.
Lucky my son saw the nice version when it returned briefly yesterday. If not Iād be getting my eyes, and other parts, checked.

SamScene3Dās Toronto scenery is out! Not sure if I can share links, but just Google " Toronto City Times for MSFS SamScene3D" and youāll find it. Not on Xbox yet so I canāt try, but the screenshots look great.

hoping that and the Vancouver Times makes its way to Xbox soon. I have their New York one from waaaay back and it works great on the Series X
Actually, SamScene3d released three City Times sceneries at once: Vancouver, Toronto, and Israel (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv). If their quality is the same as his previous addons these should be clear winners. The trailers look stunning.
Notably, I was flying over Jerusalem several times (pre Israel City Time) and Jerusalem looked pretty poor, compared to the beautiful real world city of gold.
There was a time when ORBX was famous for their landmarks sceneries, but they seem to have lost all drive. How long have we been waiting for the GB South landmarks package now?

Not using developer mode, no add-ons, and the CN Tower and surrounding buildings look like aliens attacked then with heat rays and melted everything as of January 9th 2023
Note that the image is slightly scaled down - Iām running 4x4096x2160 50" smart tvs, so I had to downscale and crop it.
The ROC (rest of Canada) is probably cheering this on.

Itās sorta odd they havenāt just reverted the photogrammetry for Toronto with the hotel POI since WU XI came out.
This needs to be addressed now itās been broken far too long. Toronto is the fourth-largest city in North America and I suspect a large volume of FS users want to fly there. This Canadian āupdateā should not have been released in the state it is in. Please either fix as a priority or back it out. We shouldnāt have to get 3rd party updates to correct something in the base game given the $ spent on the original product. Thank you.

My sense from the Q&A is that the fix for WU Canada will be coming between now and Sim Update 12.
