Could you please add a reproduction steps section in your 1st post with the details on how to reproduce it ?, so devs have all the indications right away.
It happens even if mouse pointer is hidden, if using another device to pan view,
MSFS thinks it’s an Xbox controller, and the Invisble White Dot is locking on to any button that passes under it at center of screen. Asobo didn’t disable White Dot - they just masked it to be invisible. Even then I still see it flicker on momentarly.

I want to get rid of the blue glowing controls. I can’t find a setting in the beta to do so. (I think it was legacy)

I think it’s a bug
It’s currently a bug under investigation, so no-one has found a way afaik. But if you do figure it out until it’s patched, please let all of us know:D
When this is getting fixed, can we please have them removed from locked interaction system as well? Or make it toggleable at least

Quite likely expected, it is not yet bug-logged and there is no point about this issue in the release notes.
Right, but it is extremely easy to demonstrate, and reproduce, and therefore I’m reporting it as not yet fixed in the hopes that it does get bug logged. Thanks.
I’m also seeing this issue since the SU5 Beta (1.7.7.0).
Occasionally when interacting with cockpit knobs, buttons, or switches, the mouse overlay highlighting appears in blue even though Cockpit Interaction is set to Legacy and OFF.
I can confirm I’m seeing this as well on 1.7.7.0.
Upvoted, very annoying bug
I also have this issue. First thought it was a PMDG 737 bug since it didn’t show in the FENIX aircraft but only when I flew the 737NG. Glad I’m not the only one!
Tool tips is off in MSFS 2024 but still flashes blue when hovering over an item, i have set it to Legacy but still does not help. Ever since the latest update this has started. Also when changing a aircraft in the main menu and then try configure it the previous aircraft shows up. In the world map you can not turn off the clouds the tab is greyed out. So many broken things in this sim. Come on Asobo & Microsoft get it right man this is so frustrating! Fix one thing then break 10 other things
