Cockpit tooltips

I will also add my voice to that request. Perhaps it’s good for newbies. But we experienced pilots need a switch to turn them off.

I would all be for this change.

Ability to remove the annoying button popup labels.
That will help a lot.
Thank you,
Mike

There is no option

Agreed, please add the option to disable cockpit tool tips in the upcoming update.

Please remove the hints, as it was possible in all previous MS Flight Simulators. How did it possible to miss this feature? Is it because Asobo developed only arcade games before and dot understand features of simulators?

Yes please remove cockpit tooltips labels text (and any other keyword I could possibly come up with so this thing turns up in search).

This can’t be a difficult fix and it missed the patch.

Please let us disable tooltips from the virtual cockpit. Thank you.

There is no way to turn off Tooltips. This spoils immersion. I have submitted a ticket to Zendesk.
I believe my other problem with the G1000/3000 lack of flight plan edits functions is being addressed!

You can turn off tooltips under Options>Assistance>Notification and set the "Piloting & Controls Notification to OFF.
Or you can preselect the Assistance to “True to life”, you will never get ANY notifications on the screen at all.

They dont turn off though: not for me at least

Confirmed, there is no (working) way to turn them off yet.

Thanks. I have tried this and it doesn’t remove tooltips.

I believe its a bug.

I have submitted a Zendesk ticket, hopefully this will be corrected in the next patch!

Hi, how are you?
Maybe if we find the .cfg and disable something like this …
[PANELS]
QUICKTIPS = 1
or something similar in
% localappdata% \ Packages \ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_RANDOMCODE \ LocalCache \ Packages \ Official \ OneStore \ asobo-vcockpits-instruments

Without the cockpit tooltips and without assigning specific buttons or keypresses to pushing or pulling the speed/altitude selection knobs in the A320NEO, how would you select the proper autopilot mode for speed and altitude (i.e., selected vs managed)?

You should still see the three cursors if you know the A320N well enough it will not matter.

  • Up Arrow - Managed Altitude
  • Rotated Arrow - change altitude using scroll wheel
  • Down Arrow - Selected Altitude

This option does not hiding tooltips.

Ok, thanks!

I totally agree
