Did not see a thread for this project, but it looks like it is soon here!! https://fselite.net/content/exclusive-flightbeam-x-jetstream-phoenix-sky-harbour-previews/

I hope that Asobo will fix the photogrammetry in Phoenix—which hasn’t been working for months—before the airport is released.

That airport looks great. Looking forward to it. Living in Tucson, I fly into and out of KPHX a bunch (in sim and real life…)

Just curious- what problems do you see in Phoenix photogrammetery? I haven’t seen a difference.

Steam

PC

As described in this thread, the TIN data isn’t displayed at all for me and many others. In Phoenix, you can only see the Autogen buildings. Isn’t that the case for you?

MS Store PC version in my Case.

I will do a flight there later today asnd check for those things. Will report back.

I will confirm- the photogrammetry is gone in 2024. No stadium, no downtown landmarks, etc.

When I use Ironsim Phoenix Landmarks addon, it helps a little by adding some downtown, including Chase Field , but still not what I remeber seeing at some point. Most of it is pretty generic.

Even with that addon, the State Farm Stadium is missing. Considering Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US, this is really disappointing.

Phoenix definitely had photogrammetry at the beginning of the year. I have videos and screenshots of it. But for the second time since the release of MSFS 2024, the photogrammetry suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason. I really hope that Flightbeam will reach out to Asobo to find a solution.

Not sure what you expect Flightbeam to do… they are developing an airport. Asobo is responsible for the city itself.

Good thing there are 3rd party landmarks packs available to augment the photogrammetry that Asobo does.

I probably didn’t express myself clearly. Of course, Asobo has to solve the problem. What I meant was that a bug report submitted via Flightbeam might be handled by Asobo with higher priority. Because it’s obvious that the user comments in the Phoenix photogrammetry thread aren’t getting Asobo to address the problem. There isn’t even an explanation yet as to why the photogrammetry has disappeared again. But if Asobo was able to fix the bug once, they can probably do it a second time. Unfortunately, that just isn’t happening. I could imagine that a request from a renowned developer like Flightbeam might make a difference. And Flightbeam itself is likely to have a strong interest in seeing the photogrammetry fixed.

Understood and I totally agree. A developer might get their attention a lot quicker.

Mir from Flightbeam replied on Discord that, unfortunately, it seems to be the other way around—that Asobo listens more to customers than to developers. According to him, Flightbeam had already pointed out major issues last year, but nothing happened. He advises as many users as possible to report the problem to Asobo.

By the way, I didn’t link to the most recent thread yesterday. Here’s the much longer one on photogrammetry in the Phoenix area.
