Confused about CJ4 by Working Title

I am a bit confused about the status of CJ4 mod by working title.
On the website

There’s a big warning that says " DEPRECATED AS OF AAU1!
We have reworked and improved the default CJ4 and its Avionics in the base simulator with AAU1 in January 2023.
This mod is not compatible and should not be used anymore"

I am a bit confused about this message because it referes to a relatively recent reworking (JAN 2023) but it says it is no more compatible. Does it means there’s no more any mod for the CJ4 or that the last one is not compatible with AAU1?

In any case the final question is “what is the most complete and realistic CJ4 up to date?”

Also I’ve seen recent youtubes tutorials (more recent than Jan 2023) that shows this mod working…
it is rather confusing

Hey @bellbottomjoe. The mod was incorporated into the default CJ4 as of AAU#1. The former CJ4 Mod is no longer needed.

The one that is built into MSFS. Working Title now contributes straight to default planes and avionics. No need to install their mods anymore.

and should NOT be installed in your Community folder.

And they should be removed from your Community folder or you risk issues.

Is it still capable of simbrief import FLIGHT PLAN import?

I believe SB imports will be available after SU13 soon here, but really it’s quite trivial to enter a flight plan manually with the CJ4. If you want cumbersome flight plan entry, try a transoceanic flight with the Dreamliner or 748 :stuck_out_tongue:

I just ask because I’m watching about some tutorials about the CJ4 and they all make reference to SB importing and none of them show the manual FL input. I don’t mind actually because I like the manual imput (it’s a good moment to review and somehow briefing the whole plan btw) I’ve did it with the A320 but I suspect there might be some differences. I’ll try, in anycase.

@bellbottomjoe I think if you look at the date of those videos, they were prior to AAU1

Hi again, @bellbottomjoe. Following on from what @gekkoguy35 stated above, simBrief FP import capability is listed in the release notes for SU13 here under the “Cessna Citation CJ4 / WT21” heading. Since I am not in the beta, I cannot confirm how well the functionality is working… but it does appear to be coming sometime soon. Hope this helps.

If it’s incorporated in to the new update … then why doesn’t the checklist, simbrief import and other functions work as you say ???
At least on my PC nothing is working SU13 … up to date as of today …?
I’m even more confused now … lol

When the Working Title Mod was incorporated into MSFS without a mod, they removed the GPU, checklist and charts. I believe they plan on bringing back the charts and checklist at some point. I was thinking the charts was a licensing issue, but I could be wrong.

We did not remove them, no. The mod wasn’t ported into the sim, we rebuilt the entire thing from the ground up with a ton more accuracy and no code from the old mod was used.

Charts was not included due to licensing. Checklists were dropped as we preferred to focus on the more core aspects of the overhauled avionics. SimBrief import is now included.

Will there be the option of navigraph charts in the future, or no longer working on any updates?

That’s a question for Navigraph, not Working Title.

I think is a question for working title incorporating navigraph charts in the fms as it would be in real live charts in the fms. So that in Vr you can use the plane like in Real life

@jcpiloto2009 Working Title already said on their Discord that Navigraph could write a module for it. Navigraph is waiting for a plug-in system, but there is no barrier to entry to putting Charts on the jet. It’s a matter of implementation choice. You can ask Navigraph and they will answer you candidly on their forum.

How do you remove the working title? My screens are all white in the cj4, trying to fix. Deleted all cj4 from the content manager and reinstalled. Didn’t work.. not sure what to do.
