Im following this thread because I couldn’t get Foreflight to work.
I have a program called FlightEvent (Foreflight FAQ). It connects with the sim,Foreflight connect to FlightEvent but my GPS data in Foreflight never changed. On Youtube I see more people with the same issues.
Im curious if more people get it to work with your friends program.

I tried flightevent to connect with foreflight and it was constantly stuttering. This program works smoothly and I haven’t had any problems with it.
Slow mode setting in Flight Events helps the stuttering. If you are running a VPN, you will need to allow local network broadcasts or turn off VPN while flying for this to works. FF+FE works well for me.
Yeah their slow mode kills most of the stutters but I can’t see where I am in the sim on ForeFlight.
Strange, works fine for me.
Lemme have info please I got foreflight working it’s off on altitude and speed but pretty flawless otherwise

Quick update:
a) I had to to specify my broadcast IP for it to work
b) I helped my buddy with the same but he had to disable is McAfee firewall for it connect.
The app is amazing though! So cool to keep my screen real-estate for the flight and have a separate screen for this data.

The top level domain for FlightEvents.exe is flagged as being suspicious by a software I use - how safe is that to use?
It’s likely just a warning about it being an unknown executable but go with whatever your gut says.
Seems like a reputable org if you got it from their official site.
