Connect to ForeFlight-MSFS 2020

I found these two programs on Simmarket, “FIT - MSFS BRIDGE - CONNECTOR FOR FOREFLIGHT AND SKYDEMON MSFS,” and “MICHAEL KULKE - XMAPSY V3 FSX P3D MSFS.” However, I’m not sure which one to go for, since first and foremost I don’t know how well they integrate AHDRS data to Foreflight, and I don’t want an app that has to be started every time I run MSFS. Would like to have it somehow just “integrate” itself. Hopefully, MSFS will soon provide native support similar to P3D and Xplane 11.

There’s an app from simav8 called simradio which you can use to connect fs2020 to fireflight. Also works well is a site called flight events. Both work very well with foreflight and are free.

Does this also transmit fs2020 traffic info to ForeFlight?

So, has anyone found an app to reliably connect MSFS2020 to ForeFlight that transmits GPS, ADS-B, and AHRS, just like XPlane does? It doesn’t have to be free.

I’m using something called Flight Events to connect Garmin Pilot. Here’s the link to download;

That’s perfect! Thank you.

Sky Deamon or Easy VFR. Not as detailed or complicated as Foreflight but still very good.

EFB preference is almost a religious conversation to some pilots.

I use Flight Events as recommended by ForeFlight and it works fine.

If anyone’s looking for a solution still, I’ve just released the first version of my sim foreflight link. Sends both GPS and Attitude data. I didnt want it sending my info out to the internet like FlightEvents, and also wanted attitude data sent.

Nice! What’s the issue with FlightEvents? It works great for me, and the map is really useful.

do you have any advice for Avare users, people who don’t have iPads?

I’ve tried to use xConn v05, it’s connected to MSFS, but I can’t get it connected to my Samsung Tablet. I’ve tried both port 4000 and 49002 but no joy. I don’t even know if they are open on my network or how to tell. I do know my computer is set up that all outbound ports are open in the domain. And all inbound are closed. But seems to me only the outbound port is required, MSFS isn’t getting any data from Avare.

I can successfully ping the tablet from the computer, though.

Edit: I figured it out.

I’ll post instructions in a new post since this is about Foreflight.

I dont like the fact that it’s constantly broadcasting my info to their servers. Also, i dont think it has the attitude information, though i could be wrong about that.

It does transmit AHRS data. I have been using it to practice emergency IMC on ForeFlight.

I’m not really worried about it spying on my PC.

Whenever I try to connect my foreflight with Flight Events following the steps above, I get a pop up saying "SimConnect is not found. This component is needed to connect to flight simulator.

Please make sure you have installed Microsoft Flight Simulator and restart the client".

Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?
