Connection Lost - Please ensure you have an active internet connection

Has anyone encountered this issue and managed to fix it? Help Desk says to sign out of Xbox…but I am unable to click the sign out prompt. The game just continues to try and update.

Their servers are overloaded. Keep trying, or wait a day or two.

Was having the same issue when trying to fly online a couple of days ago, which makes me think it’s nothing to do with the update. (I hope it is)

I’m afraid my only option is a reinstall unless anyone else has any ideas.

Good evening, same thing at home…

Glad I’m not the only one.

Did you have any issues before the update?

I’m going to tinker around with it for a bit. I’ll report back if I get anything working.

No everything was working fine, after the SU5 I flew 20 minutes and after more connection, I find myself with a fs2002 now …

I never had a CTD and well now I’m at least sixth

Don’t reinstall - I got the same message about 20 minutes ago. The servers are being overloaded. Even if you were able to reinstall, you would have the same problem. Just keep trying.

Appreciate the responses guys, kinda feel bad for making this thread as I managed to fix it.

If anyone is getting the same message, try the following:

Close MSFS > Open up the Xbox App on your PC > Sign Out

Reopen MSFS again and you should be prompted to sign in, do that and you should have online functionality back and start being able to update.
