Constant CTD every flight now (ntdll.dll)

I haven’t flown today, but I had a CTD yesterday when just free flying (under hour flight) with an F15.

My CTD experience is that it always freezes for a few seconds before CTD’ing. Is this the same experience everyone else has?

My CTD came suddenly: Sound is stopping, and one second later the simulation.

I managed to get in an early morning 737-700 flight out of Chicago Midway (KMDW) and shortly after reaching FL240, I received the memory error.

Somehow I think it’s all related… (Memory, ntdll.dll, CTD, etc.)

That concurs with my post above. Constant CTD every flight now (ntdll.dll) - #1365 by FinTheOG7878

I was now flying a Honda Jet 2h KBGR-CYTR with online services enabled and CTD was gone.

Yep, seeing many people here getting both .dll and memory CTDs since Friday. In my case the first one was the memory one, then I had a consecutive .dll crash and another one the next day.

Didn’t changed or added anything to my sim since June when I bought the Fenix and never had any CTD before in 8 months playing MSFS.

Internet routing is by no means that cut and dried. You can’t say “well if my ISP connection is fast, any bandwith problems must be at the other end (i.e. Microsoft). The internet does not work that way.

You do not have a direct connection to MSFS servers. All TCP/IP packets are dynamically sent through multiple intermediate routers that are outside the control of either the user’s ISP or Microsoft. The path that packets take can change from moment to moment, and the overall bandwidth will be that of the slowest/weakest router in the chain.

If MSFS internally pinged a different IP address that would prove absolutely nothing, because a different IP (whether DNS, NTP etc) would be routed completely differently than the connection to the current Microsoft server streaming scenery/live weather/traffic etc.

That is not to say that Microsoft servers cannot be the cause of low bandwidth, but it is by no means certain that every low bandwidth situation is due to problems at Microsoft’s end.

do you have live traffic on? try without

no CTD of msfs ever shown me a msg-box! all my ctd of msfs were similar to those which happend last days - only difference - the amount of ctd of the last days is same than the number of ctd before of the last 18 months on my system …

Now that you are mention this..sure last Thursday or Friday i saw some Updates in contentmanager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland…and since then i have the CTD’s. But i also have CTD’s when im flying elsewere.

Still investigating the issue on my side, no more news as far as others comment here

EDIT: I find really interesting how for some it crashes A LOT and for others NONE. I need to do more test flights but now with the random CTD it is kinda unappealing

Yes, pls stand by, we are looking into it.

It’s an interesting hypothesis certainly and stacks up timing wise. Would love to know the server mechanism that would cause that though.

I get chrashes out if nowhere (adhoc back on desktop) and then crashes beginning with slowing down performance and freezing.
Crashes at the beginning of the flying effort and during flight.

Votes should be back.

Hey, I just wanted to say that while trying to download some regions for the manual cache I got some ctds So the problem is surely the bing map.

Thats good you can generate the error consistently, can you confrm does it ctd everytime you do this action?

Thats whats missing here its all assumptions as no one can generate the error at will.
