Nvida Geforce Experience app? If I uninstall the app, do I then need to manually reinstall the drivers?

No, you can just remove the app. The drivers are separate.

I have had the same issue with the Nvidia app in the past, but that should be solved now. I run it without issues, but worth trying!

I’ll try that next, would make sense - I recently only updated the app and issues started around then.

I’ve said it many times before - I think even to you - that the NVIDIA app is garbage. That’s one. Two - now you need to uninstall the driver using DDU in Windows Safe Mode.


Run DDU briefly in normal mode and go to options. Then take a screenshot of the settings window and attach it in your reply.

I’ve opened 2020 3 times since Nvidia App uninstall. No problems. Haven’t touched the drivers.

That’s what I’ll try first before uninstalling the GPU driver.

I might mention, my driver is 32.0.15.7688

It’s the last one I need to to try, fully uninstall driver using DDU. I’ve never done this before which makes me nervous, not remotely tech savvy.

No not really.

But use the current driver, not the older one mentioned.

thank you once again @TenPatrol bit the bullet and completed fresh install using DDU - worked a charm, after 2 months I can fly again
