Constant Disconnect Warnings

By the way, my fiber internet connection is fine. Speeds are over 900Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload.

TenPatrol,

When might we hear back from you.
And WHY can Asobo not move that annoying big red Warning notice down in the corner OR just get rid of it???

Listen to your customers and fix this NOW!

I’ve just complete a 54 minute flight from Graz (LOWG) to Wiener Neustadt Ost (LOAN). As I reported here:

ā€œDuring this time, apart from the sim reconnect stutter, the flight was not impacted. There was no apparent loss of photogrammetry, multiplayer or other online services. Data was continually streaming to the PC, even when the sim reported the connection was lost. Framerates were consistently around +/- 40.ā€

If you can put up with repetitious connect / disconnect messages, flying is still possible ā€œonlineā€ (at least on my PC).

The fact that the disconnect was exactly 21 seconds every single time (timed with a stopwatch) once I was flying, and is global, suggests to me that the issue may not be server-based at all, but a network switch (or similar) in the core internet structure that is constantly rebooting. I find this hypothesis more likely than MSFS servers in all regions failing simultaneously. Then again, I’m neither a server or network guru, so my hypothesis may be worthless!

Same here in East Coats USA, never had this before. its up and down all the time

Yes - so frequent I just shut MSFS2020 down.

I decided to ignore the disconnect warnings and start a flight anyway. After a few minutes I noticed that it looked like my data was off–I was getting no textures or photogrammetry. The settings menu showed that the data was still on. I turned it off and on again and there was no difference.

So I was getting no data even though it was set to ā€œOn.ā€ I quit the flight and shut down the sim.

If you are right, then this amazingly resilient, fail-over global Cloud infrastructure can be hobbled by a single broken network switch. Just think about that for a second.

These outings that only happen 1% of the time sure are more frequent as we roll into server side 2024 in a few months

ā€œYikes !ā€, that is a truly scary thought. 2024 will be more cloud based too. We’re in for a ride with 2024 unless something can be done to alleviate these kinds of things from happening again and again throughout the life cycle of these SIM’s. I’m questioning my own faith in their ability to deliver going forward.

This is getting irritating. Rebooted EVERYTHING with no change, even Marketplace is grayed out. I was getting ready to make the final plunge and delete all my P3Dv5 stuff from my system, but now I think I’ll wait. P3Dv5 isn’t as purty as MSFS but it is reliable.

I have flown well over a 1,000 hours in MSFS. This is the first time since the Alpha that I’ve seen it this severe. There are obviously outages that happen and this is absolutely aggravating, but lets not make a mountain out of a mole hill here… this is not an every day occurrence. The majority of my flying has been stable and reliable. I’m on a 10 hour flight and have been watching these messages for the last 5 hours, but that doesn’t persuade me to lose all faith in its reliability.

Just do what I did that I mentioned earlier. I’m in complete offline mode with standard content and 2 Helicopters. I’m flying just fine. At least I can still fly and enjoy. Just because you don’t have your addons or scenery doesn’t mean you cant still fly and enjoy the SIM. :+1:

Long time ago I mentioned on the forum that most of the issues are due to third-party companies rather than Asobo - but …
who knows.

edit
I think you must be mistaking me for someone else.

Add me to the users having connection issues today!!

Seems to have suddenly stopped for me… anyone else?

Yeah I just got an update for the game, and it seemed to stop

Flew all day (up and down multiple times).

No issues on my end.

im now having this issue since my last update

Is this why my scenery has been looking like Minecraft or is it just me

I haven’t tested today yet, but back when I did fly around with photogrammetry off, it did look rough
