Interesting analysis, thank you for taking the time to run all these tests.
I wonder though, if it is simply the airport objects loading incorrectly that causes these stutters, why do they only happen at some airports? For me, CYVR always stutters no matter what, but much larger airports (presumably with way more objects) like Haneda are perfectly smooth no matter how many times I take off and land there.
I wish there was a way we could nail down the differences between the airports that have this problem and the ones that donāt. Size doesnāt seem to be a part of it. Is it handcrafted airports vs. auto gen airports? Or airports that they somehow worked on for 2024 and ones that are straight ports from 2020? I know that in 2024 there are a lot more gradations of LOD for each object. Maybe some of the airport objects have been updated to take advantage of that and others havenāt? Maybe what appears to us to be the same sign in two different airports are actually different signs on the back end because one has more levels of LOD than the other one?
I know my post should be in the discussion thread and not in the bug logging thread but I donāt know how to reply to a particular post to discuss further in a different thread.
Please, weāre counting on you to get this out as a hotfix before your team are off for the holidays. It needs to be prioritised or people wonāt be able to use the sim. It will cause so many issues for us and devs included. If thereās one thing MS and Asobo could do to make up for all the release issues itās letting us have a Christmas period with a sim we can use.
The only thing I can think of beyond graphics is like an issue with ground handling, or some other calculation that must take place at or near airports.
I do t think it will/can be fixed.
We are going in circles. The EXACT same debate we had with fs2020. Then they said the new code will fix performance. It did. Sort of. But stutters will not go away. Believe me.
It looks like Asobo will only solve this problem in January. What a shame⦠Theyāve already managed to release a broken game and are going to leave us with this UNBEARABLE bug until then.
Come on Asobo, a hotfix after a broken patch is a beautiful and moral thing, thereās nothing wrong with that. That way youāll regain at least 1% of the faith I have in your competence.
So my game pass just expired and i was planning to get the Standard edition after cancelling the xbox passā¦
I am on the fence right now if i should pay for it and hoping the performance will improve soon? or wait until there is an official fix for this bug, then buy the gameā¦its kind of pointless to pay for something that I cannot use fully for a whileā¦as I am already going back and forth between the 2 editions since have access to the game passā¦
Iām happy now ini have confirmed a release of their 350 to both sims so I donāt have to bare 2024 for a month with this issue. Genuinely angry at Asobo for this whole ordeal, and those free planes arenāt gonna fix it, I think I speak for all when I saw we want a working sim, not to be paid off for our troubles with free stuff to be continuously disappointed again and again. At this rate, if they gave us free stuff for every issues weāve had Iād be rich in assetsš¤£
It became interesting and I also tested it. Could there be a problem with the large number of cars in the parking lot? Or maybe itās that the airport has bugs?
