Constraints bug a320 with sim update 6

Someone could tell us if this is fixed in the SU8 beta ? Thank you !

it seems that the power issues has been solved though I was curious too if also the constraint bug is gone

tbh i do really hope it is, can’t understand why they dragged it so long

I sure hope so, the game has had many improvements over the months and to leave out one obvious major flaw to an otherwise finally stable game is just nonsense. When does the su8 drop ?

1st march i think

I can confirm its not fixed

It’s not on the list of fixed bugs for the SU8 release. I for one can’t believe they haven’t fixed this yet (and I’m not even on XBox any more.) It’s now been a good few months too since they introduced this bug.

This is heartbreaking. We’re basically locked out even from default planes (cj4, 747, a320 all of them same constraint bug) for who knows how long

This is not a “cosmetic” bug good lord, this is a major issues ignored for months

Thank you for the feedback, it may save people like from buying liveries coming out for broken planes
I honestly can’t believe this is still a issue

The loss of mouse control is still an issue since launch. The HOTAS sensitivity save bug is supposedly addressed in SU8 - to be released this March, 8 months on from being there in the initial release and a lot of noise and frustration for users later. XBox needs it’s own bug list and prioritisation tbh.

Why is this bug logged since SU6 if we don’t see a fix in SU8 ? I still don’t get how developpers handle bugs. This is quite major

Let me get this straight, because the aircraft won’t follow altitude constraints, you are “locked out” of flying them and they are “broken planes”?

Are you saying they are literally “unflyable”? Meaning you can’t fly them? Meaning they will not take off, fly through the air, or land?

The constraints bug is a big deal IMHO. A major piece of the aircraft’s flight management system is simply not working. I’ve learned to live without it at this point, but it’s really getting on my last nerve that it’s not working properly.

I know you’re frustrated, but hyperbole really does not help.

the fact that it flies doesn’t mean it’s not broken in some major aspects

it’s not hyperbole, it’s trying to get a plane fixed and this is a big deal since we might not see an airliner or a jet for many many months

have core system working (and considering that are so few on the default a320) it’s vital for a proper sim experience

If you just want to “take off, fly through the air and land”, and that is enough for you, well just play gta planes
And as said other people here, constraint management is a major piece of gameplay for the a320. And it’s broken for 4 or 5 months now.

With all due respect, it’s not hyperbole. I recently did a flight from Las Vegas to San Diego and I came to realize how important the feature is. Can we all live without it? Certainly!.. the plane will still fly. By that logic, we don’t need the autopilot either since we can hand fly

Let’s not forget this is an issue for all airliners, not just the A320 and carries over to third party aircraft too.

Absolutely. Again, it’s a big deal. What’s even more frustrating is you can see the data in the navlog, but it doesn’t transfer over to the plane.

got the chance to do a super short flight just to see if constraints were right now after update

(thank god the climb power is fixed)

i did in fact see the correct constraints for approach waypoints so it seems it’s working now, unless it was just random luck. tomorrow will do further testing

fingers crossed

The CLB mode is fantastic! Doesn’t take long to get to cruise altitude.

I’ll say it again
we aren’t complaining for the sake of hearing our own voices. If it’s broken, fix it. That’s all we want. We want a sim that works as it should. No more, no less.

Let’s keep our eyes on the constraints issue and see how it goes.

Yes, thank you developers for revamping the CLB mode.

Quick question for anyone though. Is it me or does the A320 bank a little too much when following a flight plan and the turn to the next waypoint is very minor? Is that the way the real aircraft flies? I can understand the tight turns during departure and approach. I would think at cruise level it would be nice and easy.

Really enjoy this sim!
