Im having this same issue.
Same Issue.
Hardware
- Winwing Ursa Minor Fighter Stick
- Logitech Extreme 3D Pro
- Titanwolf Griffing Throttle
No Control Axis works except for the throttle axis on all devices!
They are detected by the sim and can be bound, but the aircraft do not react (except for the throttle)
Interestingly, it worked in the Tech Alpha (except for rudder)
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Partially, I do not see any of the axis moving on the sensitivity page yet in-game on my Hotas X all axis work with the exception of the yaw (JOYSTICK RAXIS Z)

Same thing here… Thing is everything worked fine yesterday… God only knows what new code is being placed into the game with every new boot-up of this game
Same issue (MS Sidewinder 2)! I just sit on the plane and look around using the drone! Hope this gets fixed asap as I can’t also use the Sim in it’s current state.
When you assign the specific functions for the controller, for example “Aileron Left” use the right side entry box. It seems to me the Analog controller inputs go in that side. Using the left side boxes leads to the functions assigned, but they do nothing.
Anyway - Using the right side boxes for the assignments, worked for me.

Anyone find a way to get the mouse to pan around like it did in 2020 as i cant look around in cockpit with mouse in 2024
I cannot get my Bravo spoiler or Flap axis to work in the 737 707 or 747. The setup screen says that the Spoiler axis is “digital”, not an “axis”. It accepts the assignment, but it doesn’t have any effect in the plane.
Can someone else please confirm if theirs works?
Hope this issue gets resolved soon. As long as we can’t setup our controls (in my case MSFT Sidewinder 2) we can’t do anything in the Sim! All is working fine in MSFS 2020 so hopefully Asobo figures this out soon.
Valve Index Motion controller axis are not responsive in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
I’m Unable to select joystick or trackpad as axis for any control settings. Only digital buttons work.
Same problem - keys work but not the sliders.
VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle: both main Axis are not working, but buttons and small axis next to main throttle axis works (used for flaps)
It beggers belief that the most fundamental option for a flight sim are the controls and yet all are having problems including me. It is a disgrace.
I have half a dozen controllers with axes and haven’t had any issues getting them working.
I get the impression some people think they’re not working because there’s no response in that setup screen. That’s just broken though, it doesn’t mean the axis won’t work once in the cockpit.
HOTAS One on Xbox the same.
It wasn’t not working, it was reversed, so takeoff, er, didn’t.
Needed to:
- Flight Control Surfaces > Primary Control Surfaces > Elevator Axis > Set inverted axis.
- Power Management > Throttle > Throttle Axis > Set inverted axis.
Everything else seems to be set correctly.
I’ve found that if I edit the flight control axis settings, they do not work when returning to the flight. But if I go back to settings again and then re-enter the flight it works. It’s consistently repeatable.
Yes your right but the other question is for SEEDY LP3205 Community manager
Why havent the community managers or the Asobo team that developed the Control Bindings Interface for 2024 made a simple instructional video for people that are new to MSFS and perhaps do a Q & A with the community as this element is causing a lot of frustration within the community? Please advise whether this can be done?
Means 2 other settings use the same button/axis. Not necessarily an issue as you may want the joystick to do different things in different screens.
Same fault - Sidewinder 2. 3 days into ownership. 0 minutes flown so far… Nice.
We are working on some! We did want to see what issues the community ran into in the first few days.
