Conversion rate from Dollars to Brazillians Reais is insane and unfair

In 2024, Microsoft made the most greedy, unfair and stupid decision to DOUBLE the conversion rate from dollars to brazilians reais in the marketplace, making it 6,6 reais for a dollar. The real rate today is about 5,0 reais for a dollar, and the average income in Brazil is less than 1/5 of the average income in USA and Europe. Why is that Microsoft and Asobo hate Brazil so much? Why do you think it’s fair for us to pay almost half a minimum wage in ONE aircraft, while europeans pay less earning much more? Mind I say there are no extra taxes here in Brazil to justify that.

I’m pretty sure sales plummed in Brazil after this stupid and completely unfair rise in prices. Why can’t you admit your mistake and revert that? You already DOUBLED the price of gamepass for us last year. And now are suffering the consequences, even changed CEO because your greed is killing your gaming division.

I spent over 400 dollars in the marketplace before the change, and spent 0 dollars after that, now I only buy from outside stores. I really wanted to buy the new Phenom 300E from Fsreborn, but it is market at $40, but for me it costs $52 because I live in Brazil. There’s no way I’m accepting that, I won’t have my plane, but you won’t have my money.

I agree. After that decision, I stopped buying through the marketplace and started buying products directly from the developers’ store. It was much cheaper.

What’s the advantage of buying through the marketplace if it’s more expensive and the content takes longer to be updated?

In the long run, they lose sales.

The only adavntage is Career mode but if you don’t use it then buy direct.

The Phenom 300E is sold exclusively in the Marketplace. Unfortunately, I won’t be flying it.

I agree. They need to understand that not all countries on the Earth are developed countries.
