I have noticed something completely counter-intuitive. If I limit the fps to 30, I have extremely smooth experience. I can run the sim at all ultra with my 2070s, and my CPU and GPU are not fully utilized!

If you try DX12, can you still revert back to DX11 if you hit problems?
Yes (if it’s like the toggle in other games) - you can just switch to DX11 and revert back.

Me too… Seen no difference in graphics quality, only worse FPS and stuttering… Went back to DX11…

yeah, that was announce for this update a while ago. But as most already discovered, DX12 performs much worse then DX11 for now…

the api is fine, in some games i get a 20 FPS Boost.
Asobo though…
So don’t choose DX12. There is reasons why it’s not enabled by default. It’s not that uncommon for software to have optional beta features that you must enable.

Tried out dx12, fps drop on ground, not smooth at all… back to dx11 now.
