Ooh, really interested in this one!
I’ve never bought a CowanSim product before; have they detailed how they do their 2024 versions? Aka, will it be distributed as a free upgrade, paid upgrade, or full new paid add-on?

This is on their website, but it’s not exactly specific on how the 2024 version will be released:

An official version tailored specifically for MSFS2024 will be released following the completion of its development. The MSFS2024 version will include new features exclusive to the 2024 release.

Anything new you buy that works for 2020 will be a free upgrade. Not sure on the old stuff yet.

This has become my favourite helicopter lately. Much to the distaste of the people I fly with haha. I think it’s beautiful in its own way and as someone who mainly fly’s small GA it’s just a bush plane with a rotor slapped on it. Bloody marvellous.

Yeah it really does feel like a mix between a plane and a helicopter I love it.

I saw some test videos of the MSFS model I have to say that I also really like the outlook of that helicopter.
For now the model is only sold on the CowanSim website, right ? Nowhere else ?

I like to fly the Bell 47. Is this one better than the Bell?

I don’t particularly care for the FlyInside helicopters. I think the CH-1 is pretty good.

Sure.
My opinion is that the input lag with the injected flight model in the FlyInside helicopters doesn’t feel as close to the real helicopters that I fly. I really like the pedal response and systems modelling, but I have too many wtf moments with them where they just don’t respond like real helicopters do. Especially with slow speed handling while in ground effect. The skid contact behavior is something I can’t get past as it ruins the start and end of every flight…

Ya,
FlyInside are beautiful above ground effect. But its like learning how to ice skate on pickup and setdown.

I’m gonna buy this addon…just because the addon did seem to sound like it had a “unique” sound that was similar to what I’ve seen in historical videos.

Since it’s CowanSim (and there’s no way its flight model could be anywhere near their 500E experience), I’m certain I’ll be able to fly and enjoy it with controllability in MSFS. Also, it kinda looks like a Colonial Viper kitbash - which is visually interesting to me.
