I not know for what you refer… most issues since 1.12.13.0 are in meanwhile well known and there are workarounds ( see the threads with headings like “since 1.12.13.0” ).
If your CTD was already before 1.12.13.0 there are a lots of hints within this thread.
Additional hint: lot of users with a 1080Ti had can fix here issues with installing older nvidia drivers ( similar to the 30xx users ).

have you in meanwhile tested without XMP profile ?
