Crash to desktop without error message

It was solved, one of Marketplace’s (Seasonal) addon was making issue. After installing this addon, i can run the game.

Now this ■■■■■■■ thing is another ■■■■■■■ type of CTD

There seems to be a bug related to live weather which is causing CTD’s for a lot of users.
They all have had good results by switching to a preset weather condition.
Some folks have also cleared the rolling cache.

I had a crash to the desktop with I9 12900k and 3090 and the Asobo zendesk was not able to help me. Two things seem to cause theses crashs. The first, an Nvidia driver but not the last one, and one add-on on marketplace (season pack). For the moment, FS2020 works after i unistall this addon.

I hope you will find the issue. Your config is great.

The season’s problem only happens if you have more than one pack installed at a time, I could be wrong but I believe Bijan is still working on a fix

we know about… duplicate posts are not necessary : Crashing to Desktop (Jan. 2022)

Do you have OC anything ?

I made an automatic OC with AI Suite (Asus Strix motherboard) and my processor is apparently a good die because I manage to increase to 5.5ghz in boost on all the P-cores (obviously the processor does not stay long at this level). I have a good watercooling (Coreliquid Meg S280). To avoid consuming too much power, I went back to the basic settings. The processor does not really need to be overclocked. I had until november an i9 7900x and i see a huge difference.

What is a pack? is it the base game MSFS Deluxe upgrade? Or is it the third-party airplanes and airports? Or is it the world updates (i.e. Asia, N. America, Japan etc.)? Please define, I’ll uninstall and give it a go.

He is referring to the scenery package
If you have more than one scenery package installed at the same time.

OC can be unstable so when you have a lot CTD try default settings for GPU and CPU, then start testing again, best in the same flight plan.

Is there an instructional on how to setup this debugging in VSC?

I typed in “scenery packs” in the content manager and I couldn’t find them, what are they called please?

in this case it’s clear that the support can not help you… disable each kind of OC. We can not say this often enough.

They are the scenery pack purchased from the marketplace.
If you purchased them, you can uninstall from your Content Manager

As MicahMMA states (he is quite good at this):
In almost all cases, MSFS will not work and will CTD, or freeze, with any amount of overclock.
Whether or not it is stable with every other program in your PC makes no difference.
Remove all your O/C’s, and try.

Eventvwr from my last crash… something about a “grammar.pggmod” that keeps reoccurring not sure what that means? Can anyone help, please

as mentioned… please STOP duplicate your issues into multiple topics… choose one topic and thats it. Thanks…

For me it is obious, it has something to do with the way the audio is produced. I did so often read that the crash happens when clicking a button in the cockpit, for me it always happens when there is ATC communication. After their last hotfix update i get different error messages in the event viewer:

And i have to say if i fly over New York, it does NOT crash, i can fly there without problems, it seems there are faulty regions, combined with the internet network traffic, combined with the ATC audio.

in case you assume a issue with atc voice: did you already tried windows-offline atc ?
