I have made it clear that l am talking about cockpit interaction legacy mode and not the flight model legacy mode. Do l have to shout it out.
I have identified a problem with the mouse mode and l have just learnt my observations have been confirmed!.

I have the same problem using an GTX1080, system is even crashing or hangs up if just want to open world map to start a flight! after some restarts of the sim it sometimes works for some minutes ?

Hey folks- things seem to be getting unnecessarily heated in this thread and there is a clear misunderstanding that has developed.
Before getting on to that misunderstanding a reminder that it is a requirement on these forums for everyone to be civil at all times!
@BlackSanta512 is correct when he says that “legacy” settings for the fight model cause problems in MSFS for most aircraft. That setting should probably only be used for fsx imported aircraft, which means it hardly ever should be used.
@TheAviator3506 is not recommending that folks change the flight model to “Legacy”. There is a different “Legacy” setting, found under Options> General options>Accessibility>Cockpit Interaction System (from memory) , where the two options selectable are lock and legacy. Lock is the new system of interaction and Legacy offers the familiar interaction system that everyone was using prior to the release of SU5.
I would implore everyone to read carefully exactly what a post says and seek clarification from each other, if required, and always with a civil tone.
I think it is safe to say we all want everyone to have the best possible experience as we enjoy this hobby together.

CTD 100pct of time when hitting fly. 95pct of time in world map. Still havnt managed to fly since patch. Things i have tried since patch
Empty Community folder, unplugged all usb devices except mouse and keyboard. checked files via steam,turned of all AI live , windowed mode, diff monitors, took last windows patch off. updated everything known to man. booked a ticket out. turned all settings to low, CTD, CTD, CTD nothing seems to be working. the only thing i havnt done is total reinstall which having read others efforts doesnt seem to be a fix either so i just cant go through that pain for nothing. Hopefully the devs are looking at this. Oh yes one last thing i was fine before the patch.
Did you set A.I. traffic to “realtime online”?
Absolutely the same for me. It is a CTD every time I go to the World Map or hit Fly. I’ve tried everything but haven’t been able to fly since the last patch.
I just hope that when the hotfix being roll out its not about AI traffic as for me I have disable everything except the Traffic variety because just as a I about to click apply sim CTD
Thanks for your post… I am having the same CTD once I press fly. I have run through all the typical fixes we all have used. ie: Cache, Community, updates etc…
I am running a intel(R) Core ™ i7-9700 with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 super
I have never had this kind of CTD since the start last year, really dissapointing… Let just hope this new Hot Fix will get us all back in the skys
Hi, yes Ive tried realtime online and off both result in same CTD
Still crashes when I click fly, Hotfix sadly did not help. I’ll probably send a ticket to Zendesk but I doubt they’ll do more than send me a list of things to try that I already tried.
mine didn’t solve the problem either, I don’t know what else to do!
The Hotfix hasnt worked for me, still CTD in world map or when clicking fly. This was the last chance im totally at a loss now. tbh it is so bad i didnt think a hotfix was going to resolve it. Hope others have a better time with the fix.
I’m reinstalling it as a hail mary, but I know it won’t work. Last thing I didn’t try, but other’s experiences made it clear that it is unlikely to work. After that, I don’t know what to do. Tried it all.
The hot “fix” did nothing to help me. I am still getting CTD every time I load the sim, within 20 seconds of reaching the main menu. I have emptied my Community, folder, re-installed the sim, etc etc. No luck. After it worked fine for 11 months, this great “update” has stopped it working entirely. Really great quality control. Can I revert to sim update 4??? /s
Yep your right! Support for MSFS is totally inadequate. If you can not get it to work it’s your problem 
If you didn’t already I’d suggest restarting your PC before trying again … and If the same send a crash report to Zendesk.

Frustration would be my guess. It’s not fun to have an issue and nothing that is suggested by anyone works.
