I just had one of these, the first for a long time. The sim was launching, and I noticed that I couldn’t hear the intro music. It looks like my USB speakers had not been detected. They are connected to a USB hub with individual switches, so I turned that port off, then back on again. The speakers then appeared, and I could then hear the audio.

A few seconds later the sim crashed. There were two crashes, first was FSRealistic, then the sim. Both were the the “Exception code: 0xc0000005” type.

I can’t start MSFS if my joystick is connected. When I disconnect it before I start MSFS the game starts. If I plug it in while MSFS is running it instaquits.

Happened after connecting my Logitech G933 due to low battery warning.

Thank you for your help!

I had another one earlier today, triggered by my Logitech multi-panel not working correctly. I power cycled it via the button on my powered USB hub, and the sim crashed.

This bug used to be fixed for me. No longer so since WU10.

Mouse low battery warning this evening so I connected it to USB… instant game freeze and CTD. Repeatable on the ground afterwards. Immensely frustrating.

 Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

Yes, but using JF Arrow. Doesn’t matter which planes or addons are installed. I have removed everything and still have these issues

Brief description of the issue:

I have a wireless headphone set and during a flight, I plugged it in to charge it. Apparently, that caused an immediate crash. Is it because its a USB connection to the PC?

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Look above

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Hyper X Alpha Cloud II, Wireless. Alpha/Bravo, Saitek Pedals, 2080ti,

If on PC, Fault Bucket ID - Instructions here - Please type in just the Fault Bucket ID # rather than a screenshot for privacy reasons:

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.27.21.0

Here is First Half:
I’ve noticed several CTD’s when my audio/headphones had issues.

For example: I hear glitching or static and the audio program (like corsair) fails. Then the sim fails.

I have HyperX Alpha Cloud II Wireless and decided to plug it in (to charge it) and the second that I did, the sim crashed immediately.

I have this:

I wonder, does this have anything to do with FSUIPC? LVAR? SimConnect?

Plugged in my USB to charge my wireless mouse – froze, then crashed. I really wonder how this can possibly happen, software wise.

Was hoping the latest MSFS update would solve this, but it has not. If I disconnect my keyboard or mouse and MSFS CTDs.

This is far from fixed. What is going on with the state of the product when this is still happening two years after release? It’s not like it’s an isolated issue restricted to a few users either.

CTD plugging in HP Reverb G2.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

Yes

Brief description of the issue:

Upon connecting a USB audio headset, immediate CTD. This used to happen with my input devices, but that stopped at least a couple updates ago. Only the headset is still a problem.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Windows 11 22H2, 5800X, 3060Ti. Headset is Razer Kraken V3 X.
