Hello,
Using MSFS 2024-SU4, to learn how to land in crosswinds, I switched to a custom weather setup to “create” crosswinds.
On the ground or in the air – at a constant or changing altitude.
1/ If I set the wind speed to 0, it stays at 0.
2/ If I set a speed higher than 0 (for example, 5) and close the weather window, the wind speed gradually and constantly increases.
To understand the problem, watch the video:
1/ I set the wind speed to 7 knots and close the window,
2/ I open the window, the speed has increased to 13.61 knots,
3/ I open the window, the speed has increased to 26.45 knots,
4/ I open the window, the speed has increased to 51.45 knots,
5/ I open the window, the speed has increased to 77.17 knots.
