Hey Simmers,
i have to ask if i am to dumb or is the Kodi 100 not working correct in FS24? In the 2020 everything is fine and i can start it from cold and dark. In 2024 it’s impossible. It’s like the Ignition dosen’t work. And if i start the flight at a runway, the plane is set on fire or shut down the engine. If i start mid-air it is the same. I have some issuses with the Islander BN2, too. And also the AN2 is not working properbly. It’s not “compatible” this way Microsoft was promising to us. Anyone have same issuses with “payware” planes from the Marketplace?

I’ve used it briefly in 2024. I started on the runway, engine running and it seemed to work okay-ish.
The colours on the G1000 were a bit funky though.
It flew okay but I didn’t spend very long with it.

Took a few flights with the Kodiak, the G1000 do look a little washed out, other than that it seems to work okay so far. Out of all the other aircraft I tried so far it is one of the better ones, many other just broken.

If your not aware there is a bit of a startup procedure in order not to burnt out the engine. Im not sure how new you are to it or if you really have a bug. Like I said strict startup procedure to follow.
However seen other planes do random ■■■■ for no reason in 2024 so…

I did notice that in the Kodiak as is in other planes from 2020…the Copilot, Pilot and passengers or cargo do not show…is that a bug or will they ever?
I have been flying it in 2024 with no problems. Seems to act the same, but had to adjust control sensitivities as in 2020.
(IMO…the adding of controls and their sensitivities in 2024…if I were to describe it in one word. OVERLYCONVOLUTED !! But I figured it out…lmao
Pilot etc are turned off in 2020 planes. There are major issues in their placement in planes when brought into 2024. I won’t hazard to guess the technical reason, as there are many possible reasons.
The washed out/dim displays was a known issue prior to release. I believe a fix was made, but, it didn’t make it into the release candidate (I only read that it was fixed, I didn’t see any posts confirming that developers ever saw the fix). I think the expectation is the fix for the dim displays will be integrated into the week of Dec 9 update, assuming the fix was actually real and they didn’t find any other issues with it.
I don’t know if a fix for characters in 2020 planes will make it to the next update, or any update for that matter. I haven’t seen any indication they’ve fixed it, or that they’re planning on fixing it. Doesn’t mean they aren’t, I just haven’t seen any chatter about it other than characters are turned off currently due to issues placing them. (attached to their points every which way. Ok, I’ll hazard a guess, the points may not have a coordinate system defined or used, so the characters can attach every which way and in whatever configuration they feel like since there’s no definition for it)

On the Kodiak on MS2024 did you notice on the Fuel Condition Lever (Blue) that you get a one time function of forward and back to feathered with the mouse but as soon as you let go of the mouse button you can no longer pull the lever back to feathered again.
Im going with bug but want to make sure if others have same issue or not.
Hmmm…Blue is prop rpm…red is fuel condition.
My recollection…
Out to the runway…rpm full forward, fuel at idle position
Take off…both full forward.
cruise…prop pulled back to 2000 rpm / depending on the length of flight, I sometimes pull back fuel to idle zone. Although the difference is really negligible.
10NM to destination prop and fuel full forward.
Before taxi fuel to idle zone (middle)
Never had any movement problems…just missing the seeing the Characters…lol.
Hope I helped.
Unless you are asking about the Prop (blue) lever mid detent, that I only encountered couple times having to click it to the side to get it past the detent area. YES …I think I must click it automatically now and I don’t think about it. I do remember Having to slide my view to the right side so I could see what I was doing.
Sorry my bad yes the Blue Prop Lever
What Im saying is in sim I cannot pull it back to feathered with the mouse or my throttle controls, only lets you do it once with first use and mouse, after that if you use it again it will hit that detent and go no further.
So when you land and want to pull that Prop lever back to feathered you cant! you cant restart engines like that, it requires you do a end flight and jump in plane again resetting that Prop lever.
Just looking for confirmation.

Give me a few minutes, going to try
Yes, the mouse itself will not pull it back over the detent, but you can pull it back with the mouse scroll wheel just to get it past the detent, then drag the mouse rest of the way.
Ohhh I will try that! about to land here soon about 50miles. Wonder if can bind that to the Bravo throttle. Funny the Red Fuel lever no issues with the detent works as it should.

Ok just wow that works a bit hinky but it saves a few steps and ending the flight that’s for sure can continue on. Thanks a lot!

Cheers, have a good night
Now Prop binded to the Bravo Throttle, have to do a little fast trickery to keep the prop from flying full forward but it works, the pull back off the detent to feathered via actual throttle works and is very nice now, one less thing. Its getting there!

I’ve had several issues with the Kodiak. It was “my plane” for the world tour in 2020. I’ve managed to solve most of them. The remaining ones are no copilot, can’t cliick in the EFB in VR and can’t read or click in Little Nav Map in VR and the G1000 won’t show imported flight plans from LNM. The flight plans show in other planes but not the Kodiak.
I want my old plane back. I had a custom made livery for the World Tour and everything worked!
I hear ya, yeah cant send flight plans to avionics at the moment either Im getting in a lot of G1000 practice lately.
I did move one of my liveries into 2024 it worked, a whole other plane and livery listing but it works.
