I was very surprised to see on the Steam stats that the all-time high for FS24 player count was 10,500-ish. I would have thought it would have been far higher. I guess MS Store probably beats Steam for the count , not including console.
MSFS 2024 is a big disappointment. I had high hopes for the MSFS 2024 simulator, I was very excited. I followed the news every day until the release. I spend my free time playing simulators, I canât believe what happened.
Yes, customers are really leaving, fleeing. I think the problem is so big that they canât say anything. I donât think they will develop the MSFS 2024 simulator, the cloud-based simulator was a huge mistake. Obviously they wonât say this yet, but this will be the end.
That is not totaly correct. the all time high was around 24k. Lets assume this represents 10% of the playerbase.
If you do the math this would indicate about 250k players on launch. The stresstest with 200k seems not to far off in this case.
Bottomline if it is not able to even handle this amount of players who knows.
Anyhow we will never get a true statistic from MS. Unless I am not aware of any source.
Nah I would not be that pessemistic. Cloud based streaming is essential for xBox which I am sure is a huge part of their strategy. It just takes more time to get this done.

I guess most of the music is done on xBox / MS Store. If you compare the all-time peak 2020 vs 2024 there must be much more on MS side right now. Otherwise it will not be the great start they had hoped for.
GamePass might also contribute to this shift.
Hope this will not hunt the francise. If the numbers arenât good enough it might get canceled due to lack of success.

I was disappointed when I found out yesterday that it was cancelled/delayed too. Thereâs like no difference if itâs done today or next week, too few things will change till then. There are just few to none updates on what they are focusing right now, what bugs are being worked, etc.
Who can guarantee that it wonât be delayed again?
Iâve been good to them, I havenât gave any feedback, I couldâve left a feedback on steam. Iâm just waiting to play and have a good experience. For me msfs is âworkingâ, but I really didnât try to break it at all, for example I know that Tobi is broken and havenât used it, career is âbrokenâ so I didnât start it.
I am curious as others whatâs being worked right now and when I could start actually enjoying it. There are no answersâŠand I just donât see people asking for clear informationâŠinstead I see a lot of bored man at >65ish y.o. that need apologies and refunds and whatever. Also a lot of people that didnât bought it and now are just extremely vocal giving feedback about something that they donât own.

I was extremely disappointed when out of the blue he announced this game 2 years in advance and lost focus on 2020 entirely, I honestly stopped playing it then. everything else runs perfectlyâŠNo problems running 2020, no problems downloading stuff at full speed from steam or battle.net. I flushed my dns also. Nothing more that I can do.

Good news for everybody who can run the sim, the trendline of users continue to go down. More free capacity for the ones left.
I am quite confident that the number of players will have decreased enough till next weeks Live Stream they can finaly declare the situation solved.
100% of the players who can actually run the sim do not have any problems running the sim
