Good to see that all the VR mouse bugs are marked as „in progress“!
Now it’s just a question of time until FS2024 will become „The New Sim“ for us VR fliers too…
…I’m proudly part of the VR crowd, but I doubt we are one third of all users - I guess more like 10% perhaps. But that percentage keeps growing…
Nor the C90NGx and the PC-24 are fixed.
Well, to be honest if they can actually fix this with a placebo, it is not an actual issue. If it is still an actual issue the discussion will come back.
A lot of what’s here on the forums is subjective.
Well, I just tried to fly in FS2024 and never made it past the „Load Flight“ screen…
So, back to FS2020 for me - it‘s pretty stable, and it does load, all the way into my flight
Why is 2020 marketplace impacted? Primarily only Va systems, charts, routes, Water fixes. Sigh.
One would think that is because there are not two developer populations, one for 2020 and another for 24. There is one population of developers who are up to their eyeballs in bugs and headaches making their wares 24 compatible and beginning work on 24 exclusive content. They are all small businesses with the exception of a few who are likely already first party contractors?
There is the ‘roadmap’ Jörg sometimes shows on the dev streams. It contains planned planes, WU, CU, SU and surprises.
Honestly I don’t think we need a more detailed roadmap because as we have seen in the past, it’s completely useless. Way back in 2020 they published a roadmap and committed to it. Then we got update after update that broke a lot of stuff. Features or fixes promised in the roadmap were missing. Finally they listened, removed the roadmap and just released stuff when they thought it’s ready.
IMO it’s better to be vague than making promises they can’t uphold.
SU 1 in “early 2025”
oof
since the sim is literally unplayable for xbox users who use a mouse, this means we will have to wait until early 2025 until the sim gets finally playable (if they fix the mouse bug in SU1…)
Checking your list of open items, haven’t you guys noticed, that the PC-24 is far from fixed???
There are many updates in the PC-24 is completely broken topic
and even new topics addressing new or remaining issues:
Do we really need to start new topics like “Remaining and New Issues After Update XX”?
With all due respect, it seems that your quality control processes might need to be revisited.
I would be surprised if we are even 10%. If they even just had one employee who was solely dedicated to VR bugs it would make such aa difference.
Should add a note to the development update that updates for planes are ONLY for FS2020, 3rd party planes are not receiving updates in FS2024.
Edit: it does 2020 in the title, my bad.
We’ve got 554 votes going here (and I bet with more visibility we’ll get more)… How come having a “Favorite” category in “My Library” is being ignored by Microsoft and Asobo (I never see it on the list), where I can mark my favorite Aircraft (and livery) and filter on that category? Technically, the ability to mark a livery as “Favorite”, and have multiple favorite Liveries, and be able to filter on that category, so I only see my favorites.
What makes you think they’re not going to? Does it say “Not Planned”? Just because it wasn’t fixed in the latest update doesn’t mean they’re not going to fix it. Jorg said we’re going to have updates about every two weeks or so for the foreseeable future (next few months).
Last I saw it’s under investigation. That means they don’t know how to fix it, or possibly they don’t even know how to reproduce the problem, which is necessary to be able to figure out how to fix it.
I’m disappointed with patch 3. Before it came out the sim was smooth no stuttering anywhere. Now with the same settings some airports are now unusable just snapshots when panning. Also when will they fix the time zones to have places with the half hour time like Newfoundland show correctly? One other thing I haven’t seen any moving ships so far.
Did the latest update also restrict the planes available for the first plane discount? I was really hoping to use that to pick up a Cesna Caravan.
The Marketplace isn’t available for making purchases yet, so there’s nothing to be discounted.
(Ah, you mean on 2020 new purchases?)
The fact that all the time they have given it in their development update videos is one sentence, the fact that they reply to almost everything exept that issue. The fact that they pat themselves on the back telling everyone how happy and pleased they are for fixing issues instead of telling us how sorry and embarrassed they are that some of us still cant access the sim. In short the total radio silence about it shows the level of priority the issue has. If they cared they would tell us what they are doing and calm us down with reassurance that it will be fixed.
I’m sorry, I really don’t know what you’re talking about. You might want to watch the last dev stream again. Jorg was anything but patting himself on the back, and was all about apologizing, and in fact looked pretty sad/apologetic, to the point we’re getting free planes for all the help we’re giving them in bug testing the platform.
It doesn’t say they’re not going to fix it, and they’re anything but not aplogizing. Spreading misinformation or getting all upset like you are isn’t healthy for you.
Exactly same for me, for example in EGLL (London Heathrow). Prior to patch 3 all was smooth, now having heavy stutters and slideshow. Tried disabling live or AI traffic, no effect.
