Contrary to the bug list, wind and turbulence was not fixed, and many of us wonder what was even changed for them to claim it was. There was a complete lack of detail about this in the patch notes, and they did not go into detail about it in the QA livestream. One wonders if they are attempting a placebo to placate the community. There is literally no information on what changed and nothing appears to have changed.
Would have been nice to get some more info on the next developer livestream in this development update, I mean are we done in terms of livestreams/fixes till 2025 seems like it.
MS/Asobo are you for real? #6, #9, #18 is definitly not fixed! So much for “we are very closely monitoring the community’s feedback and bug reports”
no need to monitor anything other then your “own” sim. I mean you can start up the “game” on PC and in 5min you’d realise that it’s not fixed.
Well the PC-24 may no longer be “completely broken” but it is still “broken quite a lot”
Similarly many users have done a lot to show the vram full issue is not a “hardware limitation”
Hello @Ju1ius2416,
The feedback snapshot in today’s dev blog is the latest we have available and is dated December 4. This was before the release of Patch 3 earlier this week and indicates which items were targeted to be fixed in that patch. If these issues are not properly resolved in Patch 3, then please contribute to the corresponding Bug Report threads on the forums so that we can share that information with the developers.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
@SeedyL3205 yes i know and saw that, but wouldn’t be THIS the moment to roll back the statement?
@Landau138325 would be nitpicking flying this plane in a sens of the name “flightSIMULATOR” it still is completely broken.
Question for the mods. On the partially fixed issues like “PC-24 is completely broken” would it be better to comment on that thread, or open a new bug “Remaining issues in P-24 after patch 3”?
Hello @Landau138325,
Using the existing thread for this bug is fine. Please post additional information indicating what specific issues remain in 1.2.7.0.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Why would you post a snapshot from December 4th before the latest patch was released?
It would be good to hear some updates on the VRAM optimization efforts. For some of us, this is making the sim limited in usability as it was intended with top-level systems. Would you please echo that this is a game-breaking bug for some, and we need info? Thanks for everything you do.
Al
Hello @themman92,
The December 4 Feedback Snapshot is the latest one we have available. When a new version is published, we will replace the December 4 snapshot with the updated one.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Didn’t you hear? Your hardware just sucks.
Its a mess. I have zero problem with software having bugs, but continuously acting like certain bugs don’t exist and refusing to address them is the bad part.
There are so many bugs not being even acknowledged. Especially in VR which I know gets less attention but they are major.
The framerate is worse with no visual upgrade. I went from stable 45fps (2020) with everything on Ultra to 30ish FPS (2024).
The reflections in the windows are wrong and from the wrong plane.
The reflections of the mountains in the water are moving.
The rain effect is absent on the windshield and windows.
The clouds render differently in both eyes making it impossible to play in VR properly.
The city lights are blinking and render differently in both eyes. They’re now little squares instead of little dots.
#17 bug is good to watch. Along with wish list for sandbox missions.
Nothing good in marketplace again
Also missing is the bug of no cursor / navigation ability in the settings controls menu tab
Missing on the list, user selected registration numbers. Which is a basic function on previous simulator but broken on 2024
I do miss for quite some time any kind of roadmap: when to expect major steps, updates and releases. Where is it?
And somehow I cannot find any information about MSFS2020. Will there bei anything new or even just some Bugfixes? Where can I find it?
Thank you for any advise!
Well, sadly no mention on when there will be fixes for VR. Double mouse pointer, EFB not working, Toolbar not working, problems with toolbar windows etc. Around a third of the customer base is using VR, many of them, me included, exclusively. It’s an okayish experience, but only if you ignore a lot of what is wrong. Using workarounds and accepting, that in most planes you see your mouse doubled. I mean, anyone at Asobo own a PC-VR Headset and tried the sim in VR? Feeling good about the quality they delivered?
There are still a lot of bugs in Career Mode, too.
Will there be any patch before SU1?
I really wonder how the tests are done, that should check bug fixes. There are so many obvious bugs and even entire planes that are completely unflyable (PC24). Jörg himself said it would be fixed with patch 3, but my four-year-old daughter sees in one minute that it’s not! That’s just embarrassing. And that the same wrong aerodynamic reactions occur with helicopters again (as in MSFS2020 before it was fixed) when you want to land on a helipad… Has anyone from Asobo ever tested and landed on a helipad at least once??? Then you would have noticed it immediately.
And Jörg kept saying: We make the simulator for the community with the community. But it is currently almost impossible to create just one additional livery. Especially if you sell a premium product, like the Longitude, that only comes with one single livery.
And what I also don’t understand: Some functions are not the same everywhere. For example, on the Longitude, the door can be opened without getting inside too. Unfortunately, this is not possible with the PC12. There you will get in or out the plane every time. Why? Why can’t you just open the door? In some aircraft, there is visible cargo, but for example, in the A400M, there is just nothing. In some it has a physical EFB in the cockpit, in others it doesn’t. Whats the strategy? Couldn’t you place a physical EFB in every cockpit that you could show or hide? That would be brilliant.
Overall I think it has enormous potintial but I hope they start by keeping their word.
Jorg said in the livestream that there will be updates to the streamed data without needing a downloadable sim update.
Can someone please confirm that, when this happens, there will be a notification on the forum with appropriate release notes, and a corresponding entry in the Development Update? If Asobo changes something, those interested need to know so they can check the result, and comment as necessary.
