I saw there is a new add on that improves scenery in SA. It’s beatiful for what I watched in videos. Besides this, I fly a lot over SA and, well, I think it really deserves a better default scenery to get started.

Angel Falls and the whole Canaima National Park could be a breathtaking place to fly, it’s too bad that the whole region feels like flying offline. Can anybody with the new Orbx South America mesh check if the Angel Falls still look like this?

At best it will be a smeared mess in all likely hood, possibly on a more vertical surface but that’s about all.
The question is, would I be able to tell the difference without before and after mesh shots? Somehow I doubt it.
I think any sort of extreme vertical terrain like this needs to be handcrafted if you want it to look close to real life.

Sure thing but every beautiful detail in the world handcrafted for the sim comes at a cost, storage space in this case. Sassolungo alone at 1/2GB.
Yes but that may be because its a google rip job and not optimised.
Needs to be a split-screen video showing stock mesh vs this “Orbx” one.
