Currently on PlayStation 5, in cockpit view, even when “the white dot” in the center of the screen is disabled, cockpit controls are still highlighted and can be activated simply by looking at them.
I would like an option that completely disables cockpit interaction when the white dot is hidden and the user is not in cursor mode.
The goal is to be able to freely look around the cockpit without accidentally highlighting, focusing, or activating switches, knobs, levers, and buttons while controlling the throttle. When the white dot is disabled, the cockpit should behave as a non-interactive view until cursor mode is explicitly activated.
Suggested behavior:
-
White dot visible → cockpit controls can be highlighted and interacted with (current behavior).
-
White dot hidden → no highlighting and no interaction with cockpit controls.
-
Cursor mode activated → normal cockpit interaction is available (current behavior).
This would improve immersion and make it easier to explore the cockpit, enjoy the scenery, and control the airplane without unintended interactions.
